The Sphinxian (Beerus Race) also known as "Sphinxs" is species of a feline humanoids that inhabit an terrestrial tropical desert like planet called Nolbus. They're species live in numerous habitats from jungles, rain forests and large cities.
Dyspo and Beerus are from the same race. To this day the race is unkown and the only known members in canon are Beerus his twin brother Champa and of course Dyspo.
Beerus was once a 'mortal' long ago until he became so powerful he obtained the position and status of God of Destruction. It was never revealed how or the specifics, but my guess is the Grand Priest appointed him…
Beerus and Champa's Father, King Everclear. He was formerly the King of Beerus and Champa's home planet, Eno. He was a close friend to the former God of Destruction, Spyritus, a God who, for greed, managed to kill both the Universe 6 and 7′s gods of destruction, in order to gather the two universes in one.
Although the crusade was a great naval success and Smyrna was taken, Zeno was killed by Umur Bey's forces in an ambush while he and the other crusader leaders, including Henry of Asti, were attempting to celebrate a mass in a church in the no-man's-land between the battle lines.
Lord Luud was Dragon Ball's First God of Destruction, Not Lord Beerus. The Luud Cult is an organization that worships Lord Luud–an entity that is only described as being an all-powerful “God of Destruction” as that exact description is said multiple times by a number of Lord Luud's disciples.
As the main character, Goku eventually surpassing Beerus is all but guaranteed. After all, Goku's journey is one of encountering and overcoming obstacles. It was demonstrated with Demon King Piccolo, then Frieza, then Kid Buu. Beerus is yet another obstacle for Goku to overcome.
Dragon Ball Super
Shin explained that due to the death of Future Beerus, Future Whis is rendered inactive until a new God of Destruction is appointed. Along with the other Angels, Future Whis died when the timeline was erased by Future Zeno.
Although Jiren is said to be able to defeat a God of Destruction, it's unlikely Beerus is at risk of suffering that defeat. Beerus has yet to use 100% of his powers in Dragon Ball Super thus far, whereas Jiren at 100% struggled against Mastered Ultra Instinct (MUI) Goku.
Again Jiren being this isolated powerhouse he finally saw that he wasn't alone on the quest for power and that there was someone who took his opposite path to power. this just made jiren's blood boil with passion to fight so much that he gave a simple gesture of smiling at his opponent.
Cheelai, who was obviously terrified of having gotten caught, looked at him worriedly, which caused Beerus to be completely enchanted by her alluring eyes.
Daizenshuu 2 states that Majin Buu has an immortal body, it is shown however that he can be killed when he is obliterated by Goku's Super Spirit Bomb. In a what-if scenario in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, the Spirit Bomb is also capable of killing the immortal Frieza.
Piccolo is initially assumed to, like his parent, be a member of the Demon Clan (魔族, Mazoku), however, midway through the series it is learned that they are actually members of the alien race called Namekians (ナメック星人, Namekku-seijin).
Out of the bunch, siblings Whis and Vados are said to be the most powerful Angels. Whis is famous for his ability to travel through space at light speed and is seen effortlessly sparring with a Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta at one point.
According to Toyotaro, not only does Whis have the ability to use Ultra Instinct, but is constantly using it at all times without having to undergo any transformations, showing why the angel has been a force to be reckoned with, whenever he does decide to fight.
Angels such as Whis may take no action unless directly instructed by their universe's God of Destruction. The latter are most likely given free rein to do as they please because they are nowhere near as powerful as Angels. That said, Angels are not strictly beholden to their God of Destruction.
That said, it really does seem like Zeno will stay the strongest god in Dragon Ball for the foreseeable future. His level of power is so incomprehensible that it seems highly unlikely Goku will ever fight Zeno, let alone beat him.
The more energy he exhausts the earlier he needs to go to sleep/hibernate. Weakness: Beerus is incredibly lazy. If Shin (Supreme Kai of 7th universe) is killed, Beerus will also die as well.
After the Sixth Universe and Seventh Universe Gods of Destruction Selection Martial Arts Competition in victory of Team Beerus, Whis summoned Super Shenron with the language of the gods. He granted Beerus's wish to revive the Earth in the Sixth Universe and restore its humans.
Frieza cannot expect to defeat a God of Destruction who can casually destroy halves of planets on the tap of his fingernail. Plot armor had always affected Beerus' strength, and it's probably not a great idea to buff Frieza so much that he can casually go toe-to-toe against the likes of Beerus.
