Harry used his signature dueling spell: Expelliarmus. Due to a combination of the Elder Wand's true owner being Harry, not Voldemort, and the spells colliding, Voldemort's Avada Kedavra rebounded upon him (again). Since at that point all of his horcruxes had been destroyed there was nothing to keep him alive.
Voldemort's signature spell was Avada Kedavra. Harry's was Expelliarmus.
Its incantation is Avada Kedavra. The only known counter-spell is sacrificial protection, which uses the magic of love. However, one may dodge the green bolt or block it with a physical barrier.
In a way Voldemort killed himself as his own spell backfired on him. In Harry's fourth year Expelliarmus did not beat Avada Kedavra but Harry and Voldemort's wands recognized each other as twins and connected with each other in one mystical way that only a wand-maker could understand.
So why does Harry always use Expelliarmus? Well that would be just his natural reaction. From the wiki page harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Harry_Potter it says that Expelliarmus is his signature spell and would thus be his natural response to any attacks. Just like if person A trained the hammer fist a lot.
8 Hermione Granger: Alohomora
If there is a spell to encapsulate the asset Hermione is to everyone's favorite magical trio, it has to be Alohomora. Alohomora is, fittingly, the spell that is used to unlock locks.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
In order to conjure the avada kedavra curse, you have to want to kill your victim. We all know that Voldemort could easily kill a child without an ounce of remorse... but not Snape. Snape didn't want to kill Dumbledore, and this was why the spell was blue instead of the usual green.
in Hogwarts Legacy. It kills an enemy instantly; it cannot be blocked and will break any Shield Charm. This spell can be learned from Sebastian Sallow during the relationship quest In the Shadow of the Relic, but Sebastian's offer can be declined.
It was Snape who taught Harry his signature spell: Expelliarmus.
Firestorm. Firestorm was a spell that created a large ring of fire around the caster's wand. This spell is one of the last and most powerful spells that Albus Dumbledore cast using the elder wand before his death.
Avada Kedavra is the killing curse in the Harry Potter series. It is a fictional spell and cannot be blocked in reality. In the Harry Potter series, so much magic is “unmagical” because all the characters can learn it with the right words, wand movement, and enough practice. What is easily done is also easily undone.
During his final confrontation with Voldemort, Harry knew that he (Harry) was the Elder Wand's true master. He again cast Expelliarmus, ejecting the wand from Voldemort's hand into his own as the Killing Curse rebounded off his body, fatally striking Voldemort.
Another established rule that Fantastic Beasts 3 retcons is that the killing curse is supposed to be unblockable by any typical protective spell. At the end of Fantastic Beasts 3 though, Grindelwald attempts to use Avada Kedavra on Credence, but Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore successfully block it using golden magic.
Avada Kedavra, also known as the Killing Curse, kills a person instantaneously and without injury. There is few counter for it, and only one person, Harry Potter, has ever survived it with Sacrificial Protection that has been endowed upon Harry Potter by His Mother Love for Him.
The darkest of the Dark Arts, Harry Potter unforgivable curses are the Cruciatus Curse, the Imperius Curse, and the Killing Curse. Although the curses are highly illegal, Harry using Unforgivable Curses happened, but he uses them once he was thrust into the Second Wizarding War.
The author explicitly states that both women were fighting to kill, despite Molly refraining from casting the Unforgivable curse Avada Kedavra. The result of the duel actually comes about as a result of nothing more than spectacular accuracy on Weasley's part.
She didn't block it. She ducked, she dodged it, she moved her head or body to avoid it. No one has blocked the curse with a spell to do that.
Malfoy spots Harry and casts a Cruciatus curse; Harry, defending himself, using the Half-Blood Prince's Sectumsempra spell without knowing its effects. To his horror, it gashes Draco's face and chest, spilling his blood everywhere. Moaning Myrtle flies off, screaming.
Avada Kedavra
It's used to kill people, it's an Unforgivable Curse, and it was Voldemort's favourite, so it's going last. There's probably a big philosophical debate we could get into about violent curses like this – would this one have been okay to use on an evil dark wizard, for instance?
The spell that Hermione uses most is either Alohamora or Reparo.
