Swear words and profanity are NUMEROUS throughout Avatar: The Way of Water, including one “f-bomb,” countless uses of “b! tch,” “sh!t,” d@mn” and “d@mmit”, “@ss,” “b@stards,” “crap,” “H-E-double-hockey-sticks,” “sucks,” and 2 middle finger gestures. Oh, wait, but that's not all!
Profanity: There are twelve scatological curses, one sexual expletive, and occasional uses of mild curses and terms of deity. Alcohol / Drug Use: None.
Language. There is one F-bomb in Avatar: The Way of Water. It's said by a teen, so that might make things a little worse from a kid perspective.
We think kids ages 10 and up could likely watch Avatar as long as language and the overall violence is not a concern for a sensitive child.
We imagine it wouldn't have made as much money, mind. Turns out Avatar wasn't always going to be the family-friendly movie it ended up as.
The violence isn't very INTENSE, but the film does deserve it's PG-13 rating. Bow and arrows are present, plus some killing and explosions -- still, nothing gets TOO over the top, and its still TWEEN and TEEN friendly. Also expect strong but INFREQUENT uses of s--t and one or two uses of f--k.
Avatar 2 The Way of Water is Rated PG-13 for partial nudity, intense action, and strong violence and language which means some content is not suitable for kids under 13.
It's a PG13 movie. It has a bit of swearing (military characters talking like military characters), and the native Na'vi dress like people tend to dress in tropical climates with low nudity taboos. Really, it comes down to how you think your kids can handle this kind of thing.

Avatar has a run time of 2 hours and 41 minutes, so most kids will not want to sit through the film. In Avatar you can expect to see intense violent scenes, some sensuality, smoking and alcohol use, and profanity used by some of the characters. To sum it up, Avatar is not kid-friendly for kids under 10 years old.
James Cameron's thoughts
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said audience members could pee “any time they want” because “they can see the scene they missed when they come see it again.” Avatar 2 is in theatres now.
In North America it was a PG-13 film again, so similar limit to the UK. Both acted as a good guide for the second film in the growing series. There's the same kind of moderate violence and intense battles as in Avatar (2009).
It looks like James Cameron is doubling down on much of what his original film was as Avatar: The Way of Water's PG-13 rating includes one major difference from the first movie.
If this show is not appropriate for a grown woman, it's definitely not appropriate for kids. Please rate it PG-13, or AT LEAST add a trigger warning.
Titanic is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for disaster related peril and violence, nudity, sensuality and brief language.
