In some stories, Cinderella's real name was Ella, and because she would always lie in cinders, her stepfamily would call her Cinderella. However, in the Disney film, "Cinderella" is truly her name by birth.
In the Grimms' version, Aschenputtel slips away when she is tired, hiding on her father's estate in a tree, and then the pigeon coop, to elude her pursuers; her father tries to catch her by chopping them down, but she escapes.
According to Disney Villains: The Top Secret Files, Lady Tremaine is reading an ad from Cinderella's father, which refers to him as Lord Tremaine, meaning Cinderella's last name is also Tremaine.
Rather than impress her with his status, however, he simply introduces himself as “Kit,” a nickname given to him by his father, and says he is merely an apprentice. Unfortunately for him, Cinderella disappears before he can even learn her name.
Snow White through the years
The Brothers Grimm published their book in 1812, featuring the story of Sneewittchen (Snow White). The tale contained many of the elements we know and love today, such as the magic mirror, the poisoned apple, the glass coffin, and the characters of the Evil Queen and the Seven Dwarfs.
Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle are French. Ariel is Danish. Merida is Scottish.
Cinderella and Prince Charming
The Reddit post estimated that Cinderella was 19 and Prince Charming was 21, so not as much of an age gap between these two!
Prince Charming: Just because it's what's done, doesn't mean it's what's should be done.
Prince Charming is a prominent character in the Fables comic book (2002–2015). Polygamy is explored again: in that version, he successively married Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella with each marriage ending in divorce due to his compulsive womanizing.
And it changes everything! Once Upon a Time revealed Rapunzel's (Meegan Warner) cursed identity and it completely changed the game. It turns out that Rapunzel was actually the very young version of Lady Tremaine (Gabrielle Anwar) -- meaning that her cursed identity is also Victoria Belfrey.
In this season, Rapunzel is Lady Tremaine, the wicked stepmother to Cinderella. In the past, Rapunzel had two daughters, Anastasia and Drizella, and made a deal with Mother Gothel to be locked in a tower in exchange for the safety of her family.
After deciding that his dearly beloved daughter needs a mother's care, Cinderella's father marries Lady Tremaine, a proud and confident woman with two daughters from her first marriage, Drizella and Anastasia.
Rapunzel Becomes Cinderella's Evil Stepmother
When Rapunzel returns to her family, she finds that they have moved on without her, with her husband marrying a woman whose daughter is named Ella. While technically Rapunzel was Marcus's first wife, she ends up becoming Cinderella's stepmother after her escape.
There is no given name for Prince Charming.
While he may be named in published versions of the story, Cinderella's intrepid shoe-discoverer is only known as “Prince Charming” in the film, much as the prince in Snow White is only known as “The Prince.”
The Robber Bridegroom
This might be the most disturbing Grimm story yet. A man sets out to marry a miller's daughter. The man asks her to come over to his house, for he had people coming over to meet his bride-to-be.
In the classic three Disney princess films, women speak as much as, or more than, the men: Snow White is about 50-50; Cinderella is 60-40; and in Sleeping Beauty women deliver a whopping 71 per cent of the dialogue.
4- Never Stop Dreaming - There's a reason why Disney's motto for Cinderella is "Dare to Dream" and why the animated movie is anchored on the song, "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes." She believes her circumstances can change, and she doesn't give up on her dreams.
"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere." Another of Belle's greatest attributes is her yearning for adventure, which makes her hugely relatable and a fun character to go through a fantasy story with as she's always interested in her fantastical surroundings and wants to know more.
Snow White is only 14 years old, making her the youngest. Jasmine, who is supposed to be 15, is the second youngest. Cinderella and Tiana are the oldest, both 19 years old.

In June 1987, Snow White was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's rare for a fictional character to get his or her very own star . . . which means Snow White is obviously special.
