One of the Prophet Mohammed's favorite dishes is
Lagenaria siceraria (gourd) was liked very much by The Holy Prophet (Sallallaho Alayhi Wassallam).
It is well known that he liked lamb shoulder. Hence, it is not surprising that we have several Hadiths mentioning this type of meat as part of the Prophet's food. For example, Abu Hurayrah reports: “Meat was brought to the Prophet. The shoulder was handed over to him, as he liked it.
So what did the Prophet eat aside from meat: The rest of the Prophets diet consisted of Dates, Figs, Grapes, Milk, Honey, Olive Oil, Vinegar, Watermelon, Barley, Pumpkin, squash and any other vegetables that were available as narrated in the hadith below.
It is often mentioned in answer that the Prophet disliked onion and garlic. This, however, is a personal dislike, which does not encourage people to abandon eating them.
Forbidden food substances include alcohol, pork, carrion, the meat of carnivores and animals that died due to illness, injury, stunning, poisoning, or slaughtering not in the name of God.
Other Hadiths describing the Prophet's attitude to simple food are numerous. Yusuf ibn Abdullah reports: “I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) taking a piece of barley bread and placing on it a single date. He then said: 'This one, i.e. the date, is fine to go with this bread.
One of the significant drinks of Ramadan is Nabeez or Nabidh. A Sunnah and favourite drink of the Prophet Mohammed SAW. Traditionally made with either dates or raisins, but never mixed. Nabeez has many health benefits.
Why is green so prevalent in the Muslim world? Because it was supposedly Mohammed's favorite color. The Islamic prophet is said to have worn a green cloak and turban, and his writings are full of references to the color.
To summarize, camel milk has been mentioned in verses of holy Quran and hadith of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as miracle and its milk was recommended to treat diseases in his era. Camel milk is different from other ruminant milk different ways.
Many Muslims believe that Muezza (or Muʿizza; Arabic: معزة) was Muhammad's favorite cat.
It has been suggested that the Prophet ﷺ had a preference for unrefined bread, in particular bread made from barley. "How could you eat barley unsifted?" he said, "We used to grind it and then blow off its husk, and after the husk flew away, we used to prepare the dough (bake) and eat it."
Here the perfume that the prophet Muhammad is referring to is the scent of aloes or a combination of aloes and camphor (Book 27 no. 5601) (Sahih Muslim).
The Prophet Muhammad once ate egg from ostrich. In Madīnah, the chicken strolled around in the streets. With no doubts, egg from chicken was an important food stuff. Cheese was not known in Madīnah however, curd was consumed.
Pomegranates: This fruit was highly recommended by the Prophet (PBUH).
According to the observation of Muslim scholars, white is the best colour as it is chosen by Allah for the Prophet PBUH. It is reported that most of the Prophet's clothing were white as observed by his companions.
Ibn Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The names dearest to Allah are 'Abdullah and 'Abd al-Rahman.
Also, prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has recommend camel in his speech (hadith). The prophet (PBUH) has recommended camel milk for some diseases such as skin disease as remedy. Camel plays in important livestock which produced milk longer than any other ruminant under harsh condition of desert ecosystem.
The Prophet's main requirement of food was that it should be lawful and clean, as well as beneficial for the body. His two meals consisted of breakfast and dinner, as is recommended by modern medicine.
Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidzi narrated that the Prophet (may Allah peace be upon him) used to eat watermelon with ripe dates, saying: “the hotness of this substance (dates) neutralizes the coolness of that (watermelon) [15].
The Prophet Muhammad himself rarely ate meat, and many of his most prominent companions did not perform the animal sacrifice, known by the Arabic words “qurbani” or “udhiya.” The Prophet was also known for his compassion toward animals. It's not surprising, then, that some Muslims do shun meat.
In the Medicine of the Prophet Muhammed S.A.W. It is also mentioned that ALLAH'S Messenger, NABI MUHAMMED (SAWS) loved grapes and melons. Although alcohol is forbidden, the Quran mentions grapes alone six times.
The historical significance dates back to the time when Prophet Muhammad proposed the practice of breaking fast with dry or fresh dates. Furthermore, the Messenger of Allah himself would consume dates soaked in milk to break Ramadan fast before Salat.
