The Reapers exist, ironically, to protect organic intelligence from AI. The Reapers purge the galaxy of star-faring organic life when AI life manifests, the reasoning is that AI will replace organics within a few generations of the creation of true AI.

Carver accuses Daryl of being disloyal. Daryl admits that the only reason he joined the Reapers is because he cares about Leah, but says he will follow Pope out of fear. Carver notices the trap door and opens it.

According to one Reddit user, angel wings are often worn by bikers who survive motorcycle accidents. Before the zombie apocalypse began, Daryl traveled as a motorcyclist with his brother, Merle, who was in a biker gang.
Now, judging by Pope's reaction, this would suggest that Frost cracked and revealed to Pope that Daryl was, in fact, part of Maggie's team. One would think that him being all smiles as he spoke about it means he knows Daryl isn't what he seems and is just waiting to lower the boom on him.
