The only apparent weakness was its forearms, which are not even long enough to reach its mouth, but they probably could have been used for grabbing prey... or at least pieces of it.
What is a Tyrannosaurus rex weakness? Although Tyrannosaurus rex is known for its sharp claws and teeth, this dinosaur also had a few weaknesses. One of them is the presence of extremely short arms, which were too short to be used for eating or grasping items.
Except for some carnivorous dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus rex is also afraid to provoke some herbivorous dinosaurs, and Ankylosaurus is one of them. It was equipped with a powerful tail club that could be swung with enough force to shatter bone.
But Trevorrow gave the T. rex a low-key intriguing story arc in “Dominion”: In the movie's prologue released online in November and set 65 million years ago, the T. rex is murdered by a Giganotosaurus and a mosquito drinks its blood – the same mosquito found in amber and whose dino DNA is used to clone the T.
What is the enemy of T Rex? Although T Rex was a carnivorous dinosaur and a strong predator, it was not immune from being prey. Their main enemy was the Spinosaurus. Regarded as the only aquatic dinosaur ever found, the Spinosaurus hunted the T Rex like no other animal could.
Perhaps no other creature is well-suited enough for the task of bowling over and killing a T-Rex than the triceratops. If these two creatures fought on an open plain, the fight would begin with a charge toward one another because that is the only thing a triceratops knows how to do.
In Jurassic Park 3, the Spinosaurus easily defeated the T-rex by clenching its neck tightly between its jaws.
We'll probably never know for sure whether dinosaurs cooed like doves or boomed like cassowaries, but one thing is clear: they almost certainly didn't roar.
Bizarre 500-toothed dinosaur
Nigersaurus, you might remember, we named for bones collected on the last expedition here three years ago. This sauropod (long-necked dinosaur) has an unusual skull containing as many as 500 slender teeth.
Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex did not live on the earth at the same time. Giganotosaurus was bigger and faster, but T-Rex had a stronger bite force and more teeth. In a fight between Giganotosaurus and T-Rex, the Tyrannosaurus would win.
Consisting of two hemispheres, this chunk of neural anatomy is responsible for the animal's cognition (amongst other stuff). Herculano-Houzel estimated that T. rex had roughly 3 billion cerebral neurons packed into its 343-gram (12-ounce) brain; more than the number found in baboons.
Tyrannosaurus rex was one of the largest and most fearsome carnivores of all time.
The giant jurassic dinosaur Allosaurus was a scavenger, not a predator.
Stranger still, the puny arms are nonetheless quite powerful: Analyses have shown a T. rex's arm could bench press 400 pounds. And yet, despite this raw strength, the arms were not only short, but possessed a limited range of movement, as well, only capable of swinging across at an angle of about 45 degrees.
The spinosaurus, a dinosaur heavier, bigger and stronger than the T Rex.
Meet the Spinosaurus, the most dangerous dinosaur to walk — or swim — the Earth.
Nigersaurus had so many teeth it has been dubbed "the mesozoic lawnmower," but while it may may have looked like "a hammerhead shark with legs," even it had a match.
As far as we know, all dinosaurs reproduced by laying eggs, as do most other sauropsids (reptiles).
Birds evolved from a group of meat-eating dinosaurs called theropods. That's the same group that Tyrannosaurus rex belonged to, although birds evolved from small theropods, not huge ones like T. rex. The oldest bird fossils are about 150 million years old.
rex could see an expanded spectrum of color. Predators with this ability could be more effective at tracking their prey through the thick camouflage of a dense forest.
The dinosaur could simply step on the Komodo dragon, but it would most likely just bend down to the ground and bite through the hapless lizard and feast on it. There is no possible way that a Komodo dragon would kill an adult T-rex.
His height has been stated to be anywhere between 164 to 355 feet tall, with a length of 328 to 623 feet. So, at his smallest, Godzilla is approximately 1,024.0 polar bears big. So, on size, Godzilla obviously would whip T-Rex in a fight of pure magnitude.
When they weren't chasing down prey or scavenging for food, new evidence suggests that Tyrannosaurus Rex went for lengthy dips. Researchers believe the tiny- armed carnivores were surprisingly adept swimmers!
