Yoda's lightsaber was the weapon carried by Grand Master Yoda. Its blade was shorter than that of a normal lightsaber to match Yoda's small stature, and was green. He used this blade to perfect all styles of lightsaber combat, most notably Form IV: Ataru.
Behind the scenes. Yoda's lightsaber was originally created for the Star Wars Legends 1999 reference book Star Wars: Episode I The Visual Dictionary. It later made its first canonical appearance in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, the second installment of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
Yoda kept a second lightsaber on Dagobah inside his hut in 3 ABY after his previous one was lost during a duel in the Galactic Senate and then incinerated during a celebration of the Jedi Order's eradication in 19 BBY. Luke Skywalker eventually had the lightsaber in his possession after Yoda's death in 4 ABY.
In other words, it was already established that Yoda had two lightsabers, and that there was one with him on Dagobah even after one was presumably destroyed by Sidious.
Archaic lightsabers—commonly referred to as protosabers—were the first known design of lightsaber. Like later lightsabers, their focusing crystal was set inside a hilt from which a blade of energy was emitted.
The Forbidden Forms were forms of lightsaber combat used by the Sith during the Sith Wars. According to the testimonies of the Jedi Cervil the Uncanny, lightwhips—a lightsaber variant with a flexible blade—were used to defend against Sith Lords who utilized the forms.
Shaela Nuur's Solari crystal was one of the oldest and most powerful lightsaber crystals of the Jedi Order. It was a light orange gem that only a Jedi who was pure in spirit and an ardent follower of the light side of the Force could use.
Master of Dooku
Over a century later, Yoda took on the human Dooku as his last known Padawan in the era of the Galactic Republic. In 90 BBY, Yoda undertook a visit to Serenno with other Jedi Masters and younglings Sifo Dyas, and Dooku.
It could be used to combine double-bladed lightsaber combat with other Force abilities, like pushes and lifts. Darth Maul had mastered this form and employed it in his duel against Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Theed power generator.
Purple. Only one person in canon wields a purple blade: the Jedi Council's Mace Windu. He uses it to decapitate the deadly bounty hunter Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and to deflect Darth Sidious' Force Lightning with it -- disfiguring his face -- in Revenge of the Sith.
After losing his father's lightsaber on Cloud City, Luke Skywalker constructed a replacement with a green plasma blade, its hilt similar to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi's weapon.
Rey's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber that was constructed as a personal weapon by the Jedi Rey Skywalker following the First Order-Resistance War.
According to the Darth Vader comics, after Order 66 all of the lightsabers of the fallen Jedi were collected and then put into a furnace to be destroyed. The comic specifically shows Yoda's lightsaber, presumably picked up from the floor of the Senate, in the hands of Mas Amedda to be thrown into the furnace.
Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi Padawan who aided in the rebellion against the Galactic Empire, is acknowledged as the sole possessor of the white lightsaber.
Affiliation. The First Blade was an ancient weapon that served as the foundation for all modern lightsabers. It was designed by an ancient Je'daii Master known as the Weapon Master and kept on Tython by droids for millennia.
This brings us to the other explanation for Luke having Yoda's little saber in Boba Fett: Yoda built a second lightsaber after his duel with Palpatine and kept it hidden on Dagobah. Then, after Yoda gave up the Force ghost, Luke would have gone through his stuff and found it.
Affiliation. Form VII, also known as Juyo, the Way of the Vornskr, or the Ferocity Form, was the seventh of seven forms recognized as canon for lightsaber combat by the last Jedi Council of the Old Jedi Order.
Sokan was a form of lightsaber combat. Developed by the ancient Jedi Knights during the Great Sith War, Sokan combined tactics that allowed for evasion and mobility with the kinetic motions of Form V combat.
Yoda confronted Sidious in the heart of the Senate chambers. This erupted into an intense duel between these masters of the Force, a fight that Yoda ultimately lost and was forced to flee. With the Galactic Empire triumphant, Yoda and Obi-Wan were the last of the Jedi.
Mission to Mathas. Padawan Windu was trained in the ways of the Force by Jedi Master Cyslin Myr.
Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo. A Force-sensitive Hysalrian, N'Kata Del Gormo was trained in the ways of the Force and achieved the rank of Master within the Jedi Order.
A dual-phase lightsaber was a lightsaber that contained two or more kyber crystals, allowing its blade length to be extended or shortened in the middle of combat. Darth Vader's lightsaber was an example of one, with the weapon achieving the feature with two kyber crystals.
In the construction of a Sith lightsaber, individuals partook in a process known as bleeding. By ways of the Force, they would pour negative emotions such as rage, hate, fear and pain into kyber crystals. The process would result in the crystals gaining a distinctive crimson or red hue.
