Renesmee can survive on either blood or human food, though she prefers blood, and she does not produce venom. Her special abilities are transmitting thoughts to others by touching their skin and penetrating mental shields, the opposite abilities of each of her parents.
Renesmee's powers were the opposites of her parents. Edward could read minds and Renesmee could put her thoughts into peoples minds. Bella was a “shield” and she shielded her mind from others, Renesmee had an opposite power and was able to project through that shield, no one can her out.
Rosalie's gift is incredible beauty, which even surpasses a regular vampire. She is said to be the most attractive vampire in the world. Heidi's incredible beauty is comparable to Rosalie's, supported by her gift to attract people, human or vampire.
Benjamin. As powerful as the rest of the vampires from the series are, there can still only be one who beats them all. Even though he only makes an appearance in Breaking Dawn, Benjamin proves that he's the most powerful vampire introduced in the series.
After all, wouldn't manipulating her emotions technically be messing with her mind? Stephanie Meyer tried to answer this question on her website, explaining that unlike the other vampires powers, Jasper's power is actually affecting Bella physically by adjusting her pulse and endorphins to calm her down.
Victoria's special ability was enhanced self-preservation, which is how she was able to escape being killed by the Quileute wolves and the Cullens in Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. This ability was carried over because, as a human, she was a servant mistreated by her abusive masters.
The newest member: Renesmee. Three months later, the Denali coven's member, Irina, saw Renesmee whilst on her way to Forks and mistook her for an immortal child: a forbidden creation wherein a child has been transformed into a vampire, and reported her to the Volturi.
Charlie Swan (Human)
Even without sharing any of the vampire, or shape-shifter, abilities, Charlie Swan comes in on our list of major characters because he is one of the most important ones in the franchise. But since he is only a human, he is the weakest, by far.
Rosalie is described as being the "most beautiful person in the world", as she is astoundingly gorgeous, even for a vampire. This is due to her natural beauty as a human.
As a wolf, Jacob is about 10 feet in length, has russet brown fur, dark intelligent eyes, and is very swift. He was also the second-fastest and the second largest in Sam's pack. He later grows to be the largest and strongest, but Leah Clearwater is still faster than him.
Jasper Hale: able to sense and control emotions. Pathokinesis is Jasper Hale's ability to sense and change the emotions of the those around him. In Life and Death, this power is used by Jessamine Hale, Jasper's female counterpart.
Emmett has no supernatural talents, but his physical strength as a human was magnified when he became a vampire, which makes him much stronger than the regular vampire. In combat, he relies on strength and would fight so fiercely that others view him as a very intimidating opponent.
Jasper has the ability to sense and manipulate the emotions of people around him – a power that is known as 'pathokinesis'. Although described by Edward as a “subtle ability”, it seems pretty strong to us: in Twilight, he managed to calm Bella down to such an extent that she fell asleep.
Breaking Dawn
Edward reads Renesmee's mind. Edward hears inappropriate thoughts from Mike Newton about Bella and discovers Jacob's appearance using mind reading to pick up his mind.
As a human, Bella possessed a natural immunity to the mental powers of vampires. After her transformation into a vampire, she develops it into the ability to project a mental shield that protects others from the psychic powers of other vampires. Her Life and Death counterpart is Beau Swan.
Why couldn't Edward read Bella's mind before she was a vampire? Because she aleady possessed the gift of blocking mental based powers even when she was a human. She actually inherited this gift from her father Charlie, though his was less potent according to Edward.
¦ Even though breakaway glass is used for the salad bowl, Rosalie cuts her finger and bleeds on the glass. This is why she's wearing gloves in the re-shoot.
Taha Aki, the first shape-shifter in the Quileute tribe.
The Volturi are the largest and most powerful coven of vampires. They enforce the laws of the vampire world. The equivalent of royalty in the vampire world, the Volturi consists of 5 core members: Aro, Caius, Marcus, Sulpicia, and Athenodora.
In addition to the traits he shares with his fellow vampires, Edward has certain abilities that are his alone. He possesses superior superhuman speed compared to that of other vampires and is the fastest of the Cullens, able to outrun any of them.
She is afraid of changes in her life and she decides to make the same experience which can make her safe and comfortable with her own life. First, Bella's trauma of having a nearly-killed experience makes her fixate her life not to go back to human life.
Amun was the coven's leader and was one of only two survivors of the Volturi's assault during the war between their covens, the other one being Kebi, his mate. Amun is also considered the oldest vampire in the Twilight universe, as he was turned before the Romanian coven – the oldest coven there is – rose to power.
Alice was transformed by an old vampire who worked at the asylum to protect her from James, a tracker vampire who was hunting her. After some research, Alice found her grave and discovered that the date on her tombstone matches the date of her admission to the asylum.
Carlisle discovered a group of real vampires living in the sewers of London and led an attack against them, but he was bitten and left for dead. According to Carlisle's backstory, he hid for three days while his body was transformed into a vampire.
