Instead, Spider-Man: No Way Home moved him back to Sony's universe, but the question remains: is Venom part of the MCU? The answer is no, but that's only for now, as the Symbiote is loose in the MCU's Earth-616. Venom originally came to the MCU as part of the multiverse in Venom 2's post-credits.
Tom Hardy's Venom did show up in the end-credits scenes of Spider-Man: No Way Home. He was at a bar, confused, and was considering heading to New York when he suddenly got beamed back to his original universe… leaving a piece of his symbiote beyond.
However, it looks like Marvel Studios might just have new plans for Hardy's anti-hero. A new report by Culture Spider on Twitter states that fans will allegedly witness Tom Holland's Spider-Man being pitted against Hardy's Venom in the upcoming Spider-Man 4.
Venom is transported into the MCU, along with a host of other familiar faces, because of a Doctor Strange incantation gone horribly wrong. Think about that spell for a minute, and how it worked. The idea was to make everyone forget Peter Parker's connection to Spider-Man.
No Way Home Proves Tom Hardy's Venom Is From Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man Universe. Based on how the Sinister Six appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Hardy's Venom could hail from the same reality as Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.
But why does Venom lick the TV with Peter's face on it? Besides communicating the apparent fact that Venom wants to eat brains — and Peter's looks tasty to Venom — Venom's hunger appears to be proof of an intrinsic attraction to Peter Parker.
As mentioned above, Venom 3 has been confirmed, but we're still waiting for an official release date. Sony has a busy couple of years ahead with its Spider-Man universe with the releases of Kraven the Hunter (January 13, 2023), Madame Web (July 7, 2023) and El Muerto (January 12, 2024) already confirmed.
Early on in his career as a "lethal protector," Venom was captured by Carlton Drake's Life Foundation and had five samples of his costume taken and turned into new symbiotes. Four of those symbiotes - Riot, Lasher, Phage and Agony - are grouped together here.
Blue Symbiote (2) (Agony): In the comics Agony was one of the symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom alongside several others by the Life Foundation.
The son of Carnage, Toxin, was believed to be the most powerful symbiote ever created. The raw power of Toxin was so great that he was feared even by the King in Black, Knull, creator and leader of the symbiotes.
The Venom symbiote's first human host was Spider-Man himself, who eventually discovered its true nefarious nature and separated himself from the creature in The Amazing Spider-Man #258 (November 1984)—with a brief rejoining five months later in Web of Spider-Man #1.
During the fight, Mulligan is apparently killed by Barrison, but absorbs a piece of one of the symbiotes, which later revives him and causes his eyes to glow blue.
Venom. The end of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Morbius confirmed that the MCU and the Sony Marvel Universe have a connection. It's unlikely that Venom will make a giant impact in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, there is a chance we'll briefly see him.
Michael Morbius (Earth-616)
Furthermore, the director confirmed that Spider-Man himself exists in this universe as well. When asked which version of Spider-Man resides in the Venom-Verse, Espinosa replied, "It is my understanding that audiences will discover the answer soon." Of course, fans already have their guesses.
Venom (Symbiote) (Earth-TRN688)
The bond between the Carnage symbiote and Kasady was stronger than the bond between Brock and the Venom symbiote. Cletus Kasady was also a serial killer and thought of as insane. As a result, Carnage is far more violent, powerful, and deadly than Venom.
In his final scene, actor Stephen Graham shows off the glowing blue eyes of seemingly possessed police officer Pat Mulligan. Mulligan just so happens to share his name with the first host of the Toxin symbiote in Marvel's numerous Venom spinoff comics.
However, just before this, venom tells Eddie that symbiotes have a hive mind that spans “universes”. The reason why venom reacts so viscerally to seeing Peter Parker/Spider-Man on tv? Just like the NWH villains: Venom remembers Spider-Man killing him. That's why he goes “ohhhhh…that guy” and licks the screen.
While Eddie Brock may be the Og symbiote host as Venom, the brand-new Deadpool series proves just how perfect Wade Wilson is thanks to his unique healing factor.
One of the most tragic and weirdest Venom stories is how the symbiote made Eddie Brock pregnant, and this pregnancy created more chaos than Carange.
For example, Venom gave birth to seven "children", and its first child Carnage had three. senses that extend over its entire surface, enabling hosts to "see" what is behind them or otherwise not in their line of sight (like a Spider-Sense).
Originating as an offspring of Venom, Carnage is much more powerful than its parent symbiote because of the symbiotes' biology, and is in many ways a darker version of him.
