Australian grown coffee comes from two major regions in Australia. The Atherton tablelands in Queensland and Northern New South Wales. It is here that you will find the origins of our Australian Estate Coffee. These regions are excellent for growing coffee because of the rich soils and perfect climate they enjoy.
Coffee is grown in two main areas in Australia, northern NSW and QLD, due to the subtropical climate of these regions. The Atherton Tablelands, the home of the Jack Murat Coffee Farm, which our team had the pleasure of visiting, is one of these important coffee-growing areas.

Coffee Dispensaries and Quality
In Australia, 95% of cafés are independently owned, meaning Aussies prefer unique cafés to international chains. Australians want to enjoy their coffee for a few hours in a welcoming, cosy environment. They strive for quality aromas and flavours over the quantity of their coffee.
Where does Brazil Santos come from? Most Bourbon Santos is grown at elevations from 600 to 1,200 meters in northern Minas Gerais or in the State of Sao Paulo, in Brazil, and is distinguished by its smooth and mild flavours, often sweet and nutty.
Coffea Arabica originated in Ethiopia, in the Kaffa region, where it was discovered growing wild in about the 15th century. From there, it spread to the rest of the Arab world via Yemen.

Australian coffee is espresso-based drip-style coffee, which makes it much stronger than American coffee. They make each drink individually and to order, so the coffee's not just waiting in the pot for the next customer's cup.
Despite containing less caffeine than Robusta, Arabica beans are often considered superior in taste. Arabica tends to have a smoother, sweeter taste, with flavour notes of chocolate and sugar.

Jacobs (German pronunciation: [ˈjaːkɔps]) is a brand of coffee that traces its beginnings to 1895 in Germany by Johann Jacobs (1869 in Borgfeld, Bremen – 1958 in Bremen) and is today marketed in Europe by JDE Peet's.
Farmed on the small Indonesian island called Flores which is 200 miles east of Bali, and named after the Komodo Dragon, or the world's largest wild roaming lizards, this coffee is known for its exciting exotic reputation.

Chiang Mai, Thailand. Thailand is known as one of the world's greatest countries for coffee. You'll find coffee shops quite literally at every corner, and the coffee is of top-notch quality. Out of all the coffee cities in Thailand though, Chiang Mai just does it right.
But Australian cafe culture is on another level. Despite coffee beans typically grown in Africa and Central America, and Italy being renowned for its obsession with the strong stuff, Aussies still believe they serve the best coffee in the world.
