The Scarlet Witch flourished as an Avenger, despite her domineering and over-protective brother. As she learned more about her powers and the role of a hero, Wanda found herself attracted to the android Vision and the two soon declared their love for each other, a situation Pietro found intolerable.
Despite her loss, Wanda becomes a full-fledged Avenger, on a team consisting of Captain America and Black Widow, along with fellow new recruits Falcon, War Machine, and Vision.
As the only Avenger that proved capable of single-handedly defeating him, Wanda ranks easily as one of the most powerful Avengers.
Wanda was still a formidable adversary, capable of tipping the scales in favor of Ultron (James Spader) or the Avengers, depending on who she was helping. Still, without her Chaos Magic from Marvel Comics, Wanda was not more powerful than Thor or Hulk.
The canon proves that Wanda Maximoff does become a villain several times, but she almost always finds her way back to the side of heroism. She awakens from a brainwashed state and decides to spend time in solitude after the events of Avengers Disassembled, but officially returns to the Avengers in Avengers vs. X-Men.
The Verdict: Scarlet Witch Is Stronger Than Captain Marvel
There's no denying that the Scarlet Witch can't hold a candle to Captain Marvel in terms of raw physical strength. That said, Wanda has an edge due to Chaos Magic and her reality-warping abilities.
Captain Marvel is arguably the MCU's strongest Avenger, and there are a few scenes that prove it. In-universe, Carol Danvers has been a superhero since 1995. However, Captain Marvel only joined the MCU in 2019.
Wanda Maximoff has never truly been defeated, only "losing" to the combined forces of Doctor Strange, Wong, and America Chavez after realizing the error in her ways. For a time, Wanda posed the greatest threat to the Multiverse, going on a violent rampage on Earth-838.
But in their brief skirmish, Thanos got the upper hand, thanks to the Infinity Gauntlet. Another prime candidate was Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, which became obvious when she crushed Thanos with his armor.
Scarlet Witch would obliterate The Hulk. Ray Hamilton no one said Spider-Man and he was the first to defeat Hulk.
Hawkeye/Clint Barton
Although he is an extremely skilled marksman, Clint Barton is often considered to be the weakest member of the team seeing as he's just a regular guy with a bow and arrow. That certainly means that Hawkeye one of the weakest Avengers.
Tony Stark is the smartest of them all, having been responsible for some of the most incredible inventions to have ever graced the Marvel universe, including the Arc Reactor and one of the most sophisticated artificial intelligence systems known to man.
Director Sam Raimi and writer Michael Waldron, as well as Marvel apologists, argue that Wanda is victim to stages of grief, which amounts to an incongruent Scarlet Witch committing mass murder and regresses Wanda to a manipulative archetype desperate to be a mother again.
The source of Wanda's unnatural abilities stem from a two-fold base; unparalleled mastery of actual magic and an innate power to warp reality. Due to exposure to mystic energies and forces at an early age, Wanda may reshape reality to various extremes.
Scarlet witch's biggest weakness is her durability. The only mode of defence was her powers. So her durability depended on her powers. She had two different stages in her power: before Infinity war and after Endgame.
Both are extremely powerful, but in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda demonstrates the extent of her powers like never before. So in terms of raw force, she is definitely the more powerful of the two.
Hercules / Zeus
In fact, he is considered by many authorities to be the physically strongest character Marvel has ever created. According to legend, he replaced Atlas in holding the sky on his shoulders.
While Peter was severely injured by a train hitting him with just under 1 million Joules , Wanda could restrain an explosion of over 1 billion Joules. So Wanda has the damage output to kill Spider-Man one thousand times over! Of course, that would be a boring fight, so let's view some other hypothetical outcomes.
THOR WINS! In the MCU, The Scarlet Witch is far more powerful than Thor.
God (One Above All)
The One Above All is the ultimate source of life and creation and the architect/creator of the Multiverse and everything that exists. The One Above All has stated that its "only weapon is love", which was further stated by the Watcher.
6) Scarlet Witch
However, things could go the other way around too, with the red superhero throwing Scarlet Witch off her game with his words and getting the best of her. That being said, the latter's powers are beyond the merc's control, so it's safe to say Wanda will take down Deadpool with The Darkhold.
Determining the strongest Avenger in the MCU is tricky since each brings something unique to the table, and Thor and Hulk are the top contenders in terms of sheer physical strength. However, regarding versatility and range of abilities, Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange are formidable opponents.
In the aftermath of his failure, Thor had a new-found determination to kill Thanos and undo the Snap. The remaining Avengers converged on the Titan's home to find him wounded and the Infinity Stones destroyed. Seeking vengeance, Thor raised Stormbreaker and, with one fell swoop, beheaded Thanos.
While Quicksilver is often thought of as the fastest of the Avengers, one hero fans know from the movies can actually outrace him when they need to. Many heroes possess enhanced speed, but Pietro Maximoff is generally considered Earth's fastest man (at least in Marvel Continuity).
