Women Love Stubble
According to one study, women favor heavy stubble. Particularly the growth that equates to about ten days of not shaving. Based on this research, women rated heavy stubble as being most desirable and most indicative of maturity, dominance, and aggression.
The pattern indicates that clean-shaven men and those with longer, full beards are considered by women to be best for long-term relationships. Whereas, those with stubble-short beards are seen as more attractive for flings or casual dating.
Another study found that men with beards may be seen as more masculine, mature and as having a higher social status. These traits are clearly important contributors to the overall sense of attractiveness.
In 2017 research, it was found out that a man's facial hair influences a woman's mate preferences. Women are more attracted to bearded men. Another study proved that men with full beard growth are regarded as more masculine, aggressive, socially mature, and attractive. Men with light beards are believed to be dominant.
A new study found that women perceive men with facial hair to be more attractive as well as physically and socially dominant. Women tend to associate more masculine faces with physical strength, social assertiveness, and formidability.
In this new study, published Tuesday in the Royal Society Open Science journal, very masculine faces and those with beards were rated more attractive than feminine-looking male faces or clean-shaven faces. After looking at whether you have patchy or full facial hair, Thad recommends looking at your face shape when determining your beard style. “The goal is to make your head look as oval as possible.” In aiming at an oval shape, you increase your head's overall symmetry and proportionality.
Beards can accentuate the very best features of your face. For instance, due to their position on the face, a beard can accentuate your jawline, giving you one worthy of a movie star. A strong jawline is correlated with a higher level of testosterone, which women are pre-programmed to find attractive.
We've heard it time and time again...“yeah, the summer is too hot for a beard.” Most people assume beards make you warmer during the summer months, which just isn't true. In fact, beards provide some protection from the sun's damaging UV rays in addition to actually helping you stay cooler in the summer heat.
Going by the findings of a study, women find men with facial hair more attractive than clean-shaven ones, and think they make better partners in the long run. Maybe it's the time you start investing more in a beard gel than a shaving cream, eh?
What women really think of beards. The answer is varied overall, not in the least according to the type of beard you're sporting. But a UK study covered by ZME Science stated that women tend to find men with beards more masculine and aggressive, which are both potentially strong signs to search for in a mate.
According to studies, beards make a man look older by nearly 8 years. interestingly, the longer the beard, the older you look. So, if you want to look older, grow a beard (or a longer one). Perhaps unsurprisingly, many women appreciate men who trim their pubic areas or shave them smooth entirely. According to some, it helps men and women think of a guy's package as larger. But women appreciate body hair on a guy's arms and legs, and even some on his chest if it's not super thick or like a carpet.

Beards appear to (1) make men look more dominant and aggressive (Albert et al., 2020), (2) exaggerate facial expressions of anger (Dixson et al., 2021), and (3) compensate for a diminutive jaw size (Sherlock et al., 2017).
Beards heighten the sense of perceived age, social status and aggressiveness in the observer and those with facial hair are often seen as having a more manly persona.
Women and men from both cultures judge bearded faces to be older and ascribe them higher social status than the same men when clean-shaven. Images of bearded men displaying an aggressive facial expression were also rated as significantly more aggressive than the same men when clean-shaven.
Most men will have a full beard by their early 20s, but some may need to wait until they hit 30 to reach full beard growth. Puberty might initiate the facial hair growing process, but how fast and thick your beard grows will depend on factors that we'll discuss below, including genetics and hormone levels.
Sporting a clean shaven look makes one appear professional, elegant, and is one of the best ways to highlight your facial features such as a strong jawline among other stand-out facial features. Your face is one of the first things people around you notice and develop an impression about you.
Use a trimmer on anything from 1-3mm (make sure you check which guard does this as it can differ brand to brand) and trim your beard twice a week, rather than daily, so you don't damage your skin. A good stubble beard length to shoot for is 2.5mm.
But in the same way not every woman can pull off platinum blonde hair, beards are not flattering on all guys. It may be a matter of preference. Some dudes look better clean shaven (or with a sexy five o'clock shadow) while others seem more attractive with a face full of scruff.

Some people look good with a grey beard, while others do not. The consensus is that the wearer of the beard should be at least 35 years old or so before getting one. It's often suggested to start as early in life as possible for those who are already thinking about growing their first tresses of facial hair.
