The following table is a list of countries by number of public holidays excluding non-regular special holidays. Nepal has the highest number of public holidays in the world with 35 annually.
1. Switzerland. Switzerland, a mountainous Central European country, home to numerous lakes, villages and the high peaks of the Alps is top on the list of countries with the least number of public holiday. It has a total number of 7-15 public holidays depending on the canton/region.
South Australia
As well as half-days on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, it formally celebrates the day after Christmas as "Proclamation Day". There is a March public holiday for the Adelaide Cup, a horse race. The King's Birthday is in June and Labour Day is in October.
