Men tend to have a darker complexion than women do (van den Berghe & Frost, 1986). The sexual dimorphism hypothesis suggests that women with light skin tone are perceived as more attractive than women with dark skin tone, whereas the opposite is true for men (Lewis, 2011).

A new study by Missouri School of Journalism researcher Cynthia Frisby found that people perceive a light brown skin tone to be more physically attractive than a pale or dark skin tone.

“The faces with radiant and smooth skin can enhance perceptions of health and attractiveness and convey various positive impressions to the observers, while the faces with skin blemishes convey the impression of unhealthy and incompetent,” the study authors explained.
Those with pink skintones are typically pale skintones, from English or Celtic ancestry- the so-called "English Rose Complexion".
Researches at Penn State University identified SLC24A5 as the gene responsible for skin pigmentation, and a specific mutation within it responsible for fair skin. The mutation, A111T, is found most commonly in Ireland and all who possess it share a common genetic code descended from the same ONE person.
Natives of Buka and Bougainville at the northern Solomon Islands in Melanesia and the Chopi people of Mozambique in the southeast coast of Africa have darker skin than other surrounding populations. (The native people of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, have some of the darkest skin pigmentation in the world.)

To look better you need to avoid using light or pale colors that suit someone with darker skin tones. If you have fair skin, it's best to wear bright, colorful, and bold hues. The best clothing color combinations for fall/winter include dark colors such as brown, black, and grey, as well as navy.
These features could be their lips, faces, hair, body figure, skin, and smile. The physical attributes that are attractive to some vary per age, preference, and environment. In a way, scent also makes a person attractive.
