The way the under eye filler is placed
The truth is that all hyaluronic fillers stay in the body for longer than a year, sometimes they last for 5 years (I've seen it). Over time the fillers gradually degrade from as our body creates and enzyme called hyaluronidase that cleaves the bonds of the sugar chains in the gel.
Many plastic surgeons say that Juvederm and Restylane are the most durable and longest-lasting fillers available. Both contain hyaluronic acid and are good for smoothing wrinkles and lines. Hyaluronic acid carries 1,000 times its weight in water and makes the skin look young, supple, and soft.
The average person can expect their results from their under eye filler treatment to last anywhere from nine months to one year. Some patients even notice their results as far out as three years after their treatment session.
Two of the most popular and effective dermal fillers for under eye treatment are Restylane® and Belotero Balance®. They are both comprised of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the skin. Restylane® can be used in the tear troughs to plump the skin, creating a fuller, more youthful look.
The procedure typically involves injecting hyaluronic acid beneath your lower eyelids. This makes the area look fuller. Since the effects are temporary, you'll need to repeat the treatment every 1 or 2 years.
Kardashian said she had no filler, including in her lips and cheeks, “No filler. Never filled either one, ever,” she explained.
Bellafill is the only filler approved to treat acne and the only one shown to last around five years.
Once under eye filler wears off it will not cause more wrinkles, but your skin will resume the appearance it had prior to the filler injections.
A more permanent option is having a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon do a fat grafting procedure, which involves gathering fat from elsewhere on the body (usually the flank or hips) and injecting it under the eyes to plump the skin and correct the hollowness.
The Results Improve Over Time
Because these injections stimulate your body's production of collagen and elastin, the final results of treatment won't be seen for several weeks. Even as the hyaluronic acid is processed by your body, healthy collagen and elastin grow at a more significant rate.
Restylane. Many cosmetic experts are of the opinion that Restylane is the only injectable facial filler that can be used safely and successfully in the tear trough area.
A blepharoplasty is a quick, simple and safe surgical procedure for reducing drooping around the eyes, tightening any folds and creases in both the lower and upper eyelids and lifting the skin around the eyes. The simple procedure repositions or removes excess tissue and skin around the eyelids.
As well as stretching of the skin, excessive use of fillers can result in longer term damage including wrinkling of the lip and disturbance of the attachment of the facial fat pads and some degree of irregularity and ageing of the skin, he explains.
As we get older, our bodies begin to lose collagen. This can cause our cheeks to lose volume. A dermal filler like Juvederm Voluma® XC can add volume to hollowed cheeks for a fuller, firmer, and more youthful look.
People with higher metabolisms will experience shorter filler results because their bodies will break the filler compound down faster than those with slower metabolisms. The same goes for other treatments such as BOTOX® and Dysport®.
The theory is that when fillers like collagen and Restylane are repeatedly injected into flesh, over time this can weigh down and loosen the skin. And so, each subsequent trip to the doctor would require more volume of filler to fill that already stretched-out skin.
Kylie prefers Juvederm, a brand of filler that's owned by Allergan. While there are different types of Juvederm fillers, Kylie's team goes for Juvederm Ultra Plus.
Hailey Bieber has caused social media stir after she flaunted her highlighted, plumped lips recently on Instagram. The model, 25, showed off her radiant lips while advertising her Rhode peptide lip treatment in a series of IG Stories.
Kylie Jenner, who is famous for her makeup line and surgically-enhanced facial features, primarily her lips, has stunned the world by having her lip fillers removed. The reality TV show star and beauty influencer is one of the many Kardashian-Jenners known for the noticeably prominent pout, natural or man-made.
Under eye filler does not migrate (fillers as a rule stay in the site where they're injected), so if you are happy with your results, you can rest easy that they will stay looking beautiful until your next treatment.
Fillers are a great option for patients seeking a softer, more youthful look. However, if used improperly or over used, fillers can have negative long term consequences. In fact, patients who do not properly use filler could actually speed up their skin's aging process, resulting in older looking skin.
In certain cases, such as prominent eye bags, malar oedema or festoons, fillers can accentuate the problem and cause the appearance of a swollen under-eye. Extremely rarely, fillers can be injected into a blood vessel which can cause tissue necrosis or even blindness.
