For less than one inch you are a AA cup, for one inch you are an A cup, for two inches you are a B cup, for three inches you are C cup, for four inches you are a D cup and for five inches you are a DD cup.
C will be smaller in size than B as on moving across a period, the nuclear charge increases and therefore electrons come closer to the nucleus. Hence size decreases across a period.
So a size 34A refers to a bust that is one inch bigger than its rib cage; 34B is for a two inch bigger bust; 34C is a three inch bigger bust; and so on.
If C cups are the midpoint or medium breast size indicator on the cup size scale, then D cups mark the transition towards larger breasts and DD cups are the exact opposite of A cups.
In terms of sister sizes, yes size 34B and size 32C is bra size equivalents. 34B and 32C are the same exact cup sizes, the only thing that changes is the length of the band.
Remember: if you go up a band size, you need to go down a cup size, and vice versa. (Ex: A 34C cup is the same as a 36B. A 40E(DD) cup is the same as a 42D.)
A c cup ranges from 33 ⅘ to 43 ¼ inches. The band size for a C cup is 3 inches smaller than the bust size. C cups breasts can look quite different in different human bodies. If the person is thin then it would look bigger.
Therefore, the cup of 34B is the same as 32C or 36A. Knowing your sister size will help you in finding the right-sized bra for you. One common misconception that goes around is no matter the band size, a larger cup means a larger bra size.
When our participants were asked what their ideal breast size would be, the C cup was considered the most popular, with 39% choosing it above other sizes. In second place, was the D cup, which was the first choice of 29% of people who completed our survey.
Although small, a B-cup breast size is considered pretty average in most places around the world. If you are a b cup breast, then your overbust measurement will be 2 inches larger than the rib cage measurement.
Example: Bust = 37 inches, Band = 34 inches, 37 – 34 = 3 inches. That's a 34C! If the difference between band and bust measurement is 1, then your cup size is A. If the difference is 2, then the cup size will be B, so on & so forth.
(c) C is smaller in size than B because both B and C are related to the same period and the size decreases as one moves from left to right in a period.
(ii) C has smaller size than B because effective nuclear charge increases from left to right in a period. Due to this effective nuclear charge, the electronegativity increases and the attraction of nucleus on valence shell electrons also increases. So the size of atom reduces. Hence C has smaller size.
(i) Atomic size increases as we move down the group, E is larger in size. (ii) Atomic size decreases as we move across the period, B is larger in size.
The major difference between a C and B cup is the amount of space the breasts occupy in terms of inches. A C-sized bra puts your breasts at 3 inches larger in circumference than your rib cage. With a B-sized cup, there is a 2 inches difference between your ribcage and bust measurement.
What's The Average Breast Size In The U.S.? While it's really difficult to precisely determine the standard breast size in the U.S. (or anywhere in the world, for that matter), wedo know that the average breast size in America is a 34DD.
Bra sizes that share a row are called sister sizes, meaning they share the same cup volume (though they have different cup letters). For example, the row with bra sizes 36C, 38B, and 40A all have the same cup volume, but have different band sizes.
36C breasts are larger than 32C and 36B cup sizes, and are smaller than 36D, 38C and 40C.
All you need to do is a little bra math: Subtract your band size from your bust measurement to find your cup size. “The difference in inches corresponds to your cup size,” says Iserlis. For example, if your bust measures 37 inches, and your band size is 34, the difference will be 3.
A 32C is one cup size smaller than a 34C. That also means a 34 is two cup sizes bigger than a 30C, and so on.
