Mediators tend to have an ear for languages and a fondness for symbols and metaphors, making them one of the most poetically inclined personality types.
Creativity, curiosity, and perhaps eccentricity are natural personality characteristics of published poets, but the willingness to write is not a personality trait. It's a learned skill. Poets may be more creative and eccentric, but writing poetry is a skill that can be learned.
According to the MBTI Manual, creativity correlates most strongly with intuition (N), as well as, to a lesser extent, perceiving (P). This suggests that NPs (i.e., the INTP, INFP, ENTP, & ENFP) are, on average, the most creative of all types.
So which personality types are the most emotional? INFPs and ISFPs are often the most emotional. They both feel their emotions deeply and are open about expressing them with others. They can be highly sensitive and have a strong sense of empathy for the world around them.
The INTJ – Affirmation
INTJs often hide their vulnerable or emotional side behind a mask of stoicism.
ESFJs also tend to put others first and prioritize others' needs above their own. They "are kind and warm," Gonzalez-Berrios explains. "Sometimes, they will leave aside their comforts and put forth their support to those who need it dearly."
According to the MBTI® Manual, INTJs are among the top two types for undergraduate grades. They are also one of two types with the highest first-semester college grades. They have the highest grades among persisters in college and of all the types, INTJs consistently have the highest IQ scores (MBTI® Manual, page 269).
The INFP, ISFP, and ESFP types are likely to be the best musicians, according to typical MBTI stereotypes, with INFP and ISFP likely to be the best at songwriting, while ESFP will be the best at performing on stage.
ENTJs, often seen as the most successful Myers Briggs type, are the big bosses of all the MBTI types. They are extraverted, which makes them charismatic, outgoing and inspirational leaders.
1. ESFJ. People who fit the ESFJ personality type can usually be recognized by their big hearts and kindly manner.
As the most loving personality type, ESFJs are incredibly romantic and go out of their way to make you feel special. Not to mention, they're always up for a good time, which makes them a pleasure to be around.
The Creative Mind Is Extroverted and Introverted
While we often fall into the trap of categorizing people as solely extroverted or introverted, Csikszentmihalyi suggests that creativity requires combining both of these personality types. Creative people, he believes, are both extroverted and introverted.
Introverted Feeling (Fi), by contrast, is an intrapersonal function. Whenever possible, it prefers to handle emotional issues inwardly and independently. This is why ISFPs, who use Fi as their dominant function, are among the least talkative of all types.
In language, ESTPs are very literal and realistic. They are usually good at storytelling as a way to engage with the people around them and make them laugh or smile. They easily pick up on the body language and mannerisms of the people around them as well. In decisions, ESTPs have an objective, analytical perspective.
People with ENFJ personality type are often described as warm, outgoing, loyal, and sensitive. Some other types are known by the acronyms ESFJ, ENFP, INFP, ISFJ, and INTP.
Like INFJs, ISFJs are concerned with how people feel and can seem quite talkative in order to put people at ease or get to know them better. They enjoy sharing life stories and the meaningful details of their lives, and can typically engage in small talk quite easily.
ISTP personality types are calm, efficient and productive, and are open to new opportunities.
MBTI® Test INFP Fine Artists. According to Hammer (1996), Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Perceiving (INFP) Myers-Briggs Test Personality Types excel in careers that reward their natural artistic talent and passionate drive to provide services to others.
According to Comen, both INTJs and INTPs are among the smartest, adding that thinking is actually "the primary life goal" for INTPs, as opposed to the key tool. These people are most likely to be engineers and mathematicians, Robledo says.
ISFJs are characteristically humble and unassuming, and rarely call attention to themselves.
Compassionate: With their strong sense of intuition and emotional understanding, INFJs can be soft-spoken and empathetic.
INFJ personalities are often seen as those quiet, sensitive types who are easily upset and seem to take everything personally.
ISFJs ranked as having low self-acceptance according to the CPI™ tool. This may be largely because ISFJs are known for being cautious and careful, which may come across as self-doubting at times. ISFJs are also very practical and down-to-earth, and thus may not have very lofty, idealized images of themselves.
The introverted (I) intuitive (N) types (“INs”)—INFJ, INFP, INTJ and INTP—are among the most “sensitive” of the personality types. This is especially true of those who are more turbulent than assertive.
