The INFP. Deep and introspective, INFPs direct most of their conscious energy to discover meaning and achieving inner harmony with their values. They are one of the most emotionally analytical personality types – having depths and complexities to their emotions that others may only briefly glimpse.
The introverted (I) intuitive (N) types (“INs”)—INFJ, INFP, INTJ and INTP—are among the most “sensitive” of the personality types.
The finding of the study showed that introvert, intuition, feeling and judging (INFJ) personality type were more emotionally intelligent than the extrovert, sensing, thinking and perceiving (ESTP) personality type.
Virtuosos (ISTP) (50%) and Logisticians (ISTJ) (51%) agreed with our statement at the lowest rates of any personality types. Since these personalities tend to be less in touch with their own emotions, they're simply less likely to react strongly to emotions in a creative work.
INTJs often hide their vulnerable or emotional side behind a mask of stoicism. They are the types to let their behavior speak for them, rather than put their feelings into words.
Of all the personality types, the ENFJ is often perceived as being the strongest "people person." They can forge friendships with all personality types, even with more introverted or reticent individuals.
They're probably ISFJs, who feel super uncomfortable with the prospect of hurting anyone's feelings. "They tend to be wallflowers and can sometimes stumble over their words," says Owens. They'll likely skip the inflammatory family dinner conversation—even if they're Zooming in from thousands of miles away.
INTJs are typically very quiet and reserved unless they happen to meet someone who, like them, loves exploring theoretical concepts, analyzing possibilities, and dreaming up long-term goals. That said, they're not typically very verbal when it comes to discussing their feelings or people's personal lives.
Of all the personality types, ENTJs are arguably the ones who care least about other people's opinions of them. This is not a personality type who sugarcoats things or cares what others think of them. They are decisive, assertive and extremely blunt.
According to the MBTI® Manual, ISFPs were the type most likely to get upset or angry and show it, as well as the type most likely to get upset or angry and not show it.
INTJs are definitely the overthinking type, they enjoy being able to process as much information as possible. INTJs are logical people, who have extremely active and rich inner minds.
According to Comen, both INTJs and INTPs are among the smartest, adding that thinking is actually "the primary life goal" for INTPs, as opposed to the key tool. These people are most likely to be engineers and mathematicians, Robledo says.
ENTJ. People who are extroverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging are among the most confident, according to Coulston. "ENTJs are highly confident and have excellent leadership skills as their dominant extroverted thinking traits make them effectiveness oriented," she says.
ENFJs and ESFJs in particular are two Extraverted types who could be more prone to anxiety. Firstly, both of these personalities lead with Extraverted Feeling (Fe). Having Fe as your dominant cognitive function means it's the first mental tool you rely on to make sense of the world.
INFJ personalities are often seen as those quiet, sensitive types who are easily upset and seem to take everything personally.
It can be debated which MBTI personality type is truly the most “shy” among the 16 types, but the INFP personality type — also known as the “Mediator” — is often listed at the top of shyness ranks.
Perhaps the most sensitive of all the personality types, INFJs take it hard when someone they trust lets them down. They tend to hold on to anger longer than they should and are capable of holding a grudge even when the other person has apologized, repeatedly, for their wrongdoing.
The least common Myers-Briggs personality Type is INFJ
People who prefer INFJ make up only 1.5% of the general population in the US.
The ESFP. Obnoxious ESFPs want to create excitement and will go to any lengths to do so. They tend to speak loudly, make mischief, or embarrass themselves or others to get a laugh.
ESFP. An ESFP is the personality type that is usually the least likely to fall in love easily. This type is used to living their lives fast and in-the-moment, which carries over into their relationships.
Most Chill: ISTPs are like zen-masters. Their default state of mind in the face of adversity is calm, intense confidence.
INTJs are often misunderstood simply because there are so few of them around. Making up only 2.1% of the US population, they understand the world in a fundamentally different way than most other types. While the rest of the world looks first to tangible data, INTJs follow symbols and underlying meanings first.
The INFJ. The INFJ is one of the rarest and most misunderstood personality types. These types are often seen as mysterious, daydreamy, and even confusing.
Pride: ENTJ, INTJ, ISFJ, INTP
ENTJs, INTJs, and INTPs are particularly likely to cross the line from confident to cocky. Those with an ISFJ personality tend to be less brazenly prideful, but their general stubbornness in their ways may leave them feeling superior to others.
INFPs overthink most things, and will analyze information much more than people realize. INFPs have such active inner minds, and they often spend lengths of time just overthinking things and trying to process their thoughts and feelings.
