Which personality types are the nerdiest or most socially awkward? Popular opinion suggests that INTPs and INTJs are most apt to claim this not-so prestigious award.
A nerd is a person seen as overly intellectual, obsessive, introverted or lacking social skills.
According to Comen, both INTJs and INTPs are among the smartest, adding that thinking is actually "the primary life goal" for INTPs, as opposed to the key tool. These people are most likely to be engineers and mathematicians, Robledo says.
The ENTP. ENTPs are usually seen as energetic, curious, and spontaneous.
INFP and INFJ: The Overthinkers
When it comes to these types, their anxiety can stem from an inclination to overthinking.
They're probably ISFJs, who feel super uncomfortable with the prospect of hurting anyone's feelings. "They tend to be wallflowers and can sometimes stumble over their words," says Owens. They'll likely skip the inflammatory family dinner conversation—even if they're Zooming in from thousands of miles away.
According to the MBTI Manual, creativity correlates most strongly with intuition (N), as well as, to a lesser extent, perceiving (P). This suggests that NPs (i.e., the INTP, INFP, ENTP, & ENFP) are, on average, the most creative of all types.
Introverted Feeling (Fi), by contrast, is an intrapersonal function. Whenever possible, it prefers to handle emotional issues inwardly and independently. This is why ISFPs, who use Fi as their dominant function, are among the least talkative of all types.
Perceiving (P) personality types, particularly those who are also Intuitives (N), are often painted as the worst procrastinators.
INFP, INTP, ENFP, and ENTP types constituted almost 50% of the whole gifted sample compare d with 19% of the normative group. The most common type among gifted adolescents is intu- ition.
ENTJ. People who are extroverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging are among the most confident, according to Coulston. "ENTJs are highly confident and have excellent leadership skills as their dominant extroverted thinking traits make them effectiveness oriented," she says.
Assertive Debaters (ENTP-A), Executives (ESTJ-A), and Entrepreneurs (ESTP-A) (all 95%), and Assertive Commanders (ENTJ-A) (98%) are the personality types reporting the highest confidence in their own abilities.
The INFP personality type is creative, quirky, humane, and individualistic. Like the INFJ, INFPs want to understand who they are and their purpose in the world. Curious and restless, they enjoy entertaining new ideas and possibilities.
ESFJ. Those who are extroverted, sensing, feeling, and judging are often identified as one of the kindest types by experts. "ESFJs have extroverted feeling as a dominant cognitive function," Gonzalez-Berrios says. "This makes them rule by their hearts.
As an INTP, Albert tends to be extremely analytical, objective, and logical.
INTJs are often seen as cold-hearted, detached, and objective—but they only appear as such on the outside. That's because they're not reactive, meaning they don't show emotion in front of those they don't know well.
ENTJ types are the most charismatic. They harness all of the intellectual and strategic weight of the others mentioned above but benefit from an extroverted personality, which allows them to connect more frequently and easily with the needs of others.
Candidate #1: The INFP.
According to the MBTI® Manual, ISFPs were the type most likely to get upset or angry and show it, as well as the type most likely to get upset or angry and not show it.
Isfp: The Chill Pill
There's no better person to just hang with than you, ISFP…and you get along with just about anyone, unless they're judgmental or demanding. People who prefer a structured relationship might find you too laid-back or aloof, but you can't be bogged down by rules or expectations, man.
ISTPs are the most unpredictable of the 16 personality types, because they're typically rational and logical, but can also be enthusiastic and spontaneous.
ESTJ. Practical, realistic, matter-of-fact. Decisive, quickly move to implement decisions. Organize projects and people to get things done, focus on getting results in the most efficient way possible.
The ISFP is probably the most artistic of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types. Although they aren't necessarily out painting masterpieces (though many of them could), they enjoy challenging the status quo with their experiments in design and behavior.
ISTJs and ISFJs are perfectionists in terms of being very precise and correct. INTJs and INFJs are perfectionists in the sense that they have high standards and can always think of a way they could be doing things better. INTPs and INFPs are perfectionists because they want to constantly revise and explore.
