Nose piercings can hurt as much as any other kind. The only difference is that in some areas such as the septum or the nasallang the pain and discomfort may be greater than other areas. The easier to reach partly will fairly cause more discomfort than pain.
“Depending on the area, most of our customers feel traditional nostril piercings a bit stronger than septum piercings, as long as the septum is well-performed,” says Perelmuter. Since the septum tissue is so thin, it will hurt briefly during the piercing but heal more quickly, resulting in less pain overall.
Pain Scale: 5 on a scale of 1-10. The pain scale is 100% subjective and based on clients' feedback. Nostril piercings are said to be a bit more painful than lip or ear lobe piercings, but not as painful as septum piercings. Aftercare: Keep the area clean to avoid infection.
Nostril Piercings
These piercings are slightly more painful than earlobe, lip, and navel piercings. The reason for this is because the needle has to go through cartilage, which is tougher than just flesh.
The daith is located in the inner ear, so this piercing is not only painful to sit through but also tricky to heal. The cartilage is quite dense to go through and there's a distinct pressure that comes along with this piercing.

Jef Saunders, president of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), says that piercers often compare the pain to having an eyebrow wax procedure done or a getting a shot. “The pain itself is a combination of mild sharpness and pressure, but it is over extremely quickly,” he explains.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the left side was believed to be the female side, and right the masculine side. Some people use this as a reason to choose their facial piercings on the left side for females or right side for males. However, in modern culture, there really isn't a male or female side.

Mandibular Piercing:
This is an extremely dangerous piercing to get done. There are a number of important Nerves and Viens in the area and due to the depth of the location, internal bleeding could occur.
Navel. Navel piercings take the longest to heal, usually taking anywhere between 6 to 12 months. It is important to keep the area clean and dry, and avoid changing jewelry too often. Avoiding tight clothing and swimming pools is important, as these can cause infections and irritation.
