Racial differences were seen where Asians had the highest mean semen concentrations (69.2 × 106/mL) while blacks had the lowest (51.3 × 106/mL).
Results: White men produced greater volumes of semen on average, however, Asian men had higher sperm concentrations and total sperm count.
Data suggest that Black men have lower mean ejaculate volumes, sperm concentration, and total motile sperm counts.
Semen Quality and Male Infertility
The sperm count in white and cloudy semen is better than watery and clear semen. Watery semen may sometimes be considered as an indicator of fertility issues in males.
Healthy semen is a cloudy white color with a jelly consistency similar to a raw egg. Slight changes in semen color, texture, and even smell might be normal and should no pose concern. In some cases, semen color changes could be a sign of an underlying issue.
A trained expert checks your sperm count, their shape, movement, and other characteristics. In general, if you have a higher number of normal-shaped sperm, it means you have higher fertility. But there are plenty of exceptions to this. A lot of guys with low sperm counts or abnormal semen are still fertile.
Studies have consistently demonstrated that minority races, in particular Black and Hispanic individuals, have more barriers to accessing fertility care than those who are white.
Peak male fertility is around 25-29 years old. Sperm quality begins to decline at 30. At 45, men begin to experience a significant decrease in semen volume. Older men can also take longer to conceive a child.
Fertility is most likely if the semen discharged in a single ejaculation (ejaculate) contains at least 15 million sperm per milliliter. Too little sperm in an ejaculation might make it more difficult to get pregnant because there are fewer candidates available to fertilize the egg.
Retrieved June 19, 2023, from www.marchofdimes.org/peristats. In the United States, the highest fertility rates (per 1,000 women ages 15-44) during 2018-2020 (average) were to Hispanic women (64.8), followed by blacks (62.6), American Indian/Alaska Natives (60.8), Asian/Pacific Islanders (55.6) and Whites (55.3).

The male has a low sperm count. It could occur naturally or due to certain factors such as heat, particular drugs and toxic substances which kill many male sperm cells, according to Shettles.
South Korea has the world's lowest fertility rate, a struggle with lessons for us all. A woman holding her daughter looks at a view of Seoul in 2019. The fertility rate in South Korea, which has the world's lowest rate, hit 0.78 in February.
The difference in weight is significant in different ethnicities, even though all the mothers in the study had low-risk pregnancies with a single baby. We learned that white and Hispanic babies are on average about one pound bigger than babies who are of Asian or African descent.
It's true that fertility is genetic, and there actually are some people who can be classified as “super” fertile. This is all dependent on sperm and egg health. One study on the topic classified super fertility as having a monthly fecundity rate (the ability to get pregnant) of 60% or greater.
Men start losing their fertility at age 40.
In a study of more than 1,900 couples, irrespective of the woman's age, IVF attempts involving men 40 or older failed 70 percent more often than IVF attempts involving men younger than 30. Previous theory: Older men produce fewer kids because they get less sex.
Men do not have a "fertile window" per se as sperm is continually formed and stored in the testes. Healthy sperm is viable anytime under normal health circumstances. Sperm has the ability to live for up to six days in the uterus.
There is no specific frequency with which a man should ejaculate. There is no solid evidence that failure to ejaculate causes health problems. However, ejaculating frequently can reduce the man's risk of getting prostate cancer. Ejacu-lation can be through having sex or masturbating a few times a day.
While there is no definite age at which male ejaculation ceases, it has been suggested that it may happen when a man reaches his late 40s or early 50s. It is important to note, however, that this is not a universal rule and some men may continue to ejaculate at a later age.
