Chapter (26) sūrat l-shuʿarā (The Poets)
Shakir: Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). Muhammad Sarwar: except what is done in obedience to God with a submissive heart. Mohsin Khan: Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)].
A tradition that all commentators have quoted from reliable books, states that everything has a heart and the heart of Quran is (Surah) Yasin. When we consider the totality of the organs of body as one unit, its center is the heart.
Quran 9:77 It is the heart, which is the centre of all that is good and bad, whether it be contentment and peace Quran 13:28, the strength to face afflictions Quran 64:11, mercy Quran 57:27, brotherly love Quran 8:63, God-Consciousness Quran 49:3; 22:32; or, doubt and hesitation Quran 9:45, regrets Quran 3:156, and ...
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to invoke Allah at the time of distress, saying, "La ilaha illal- lahu Al-`Azim, al- Halim, La ilaha illal-lahu Rabbu-s-samawati wal-ard wa Rabbu- l-arsh il-azim."
SURAH AL-FATIHAH IS A CURE FOR THE DISEASES OF THE HEART AND THE BODY. The corruption of intent. These in turn lead to two fatal illnesses: misguidance and anger. Misguidance being the end result of the corruption of knowledge and anger being the end result of the corruption of intent.
Ibrāhīm al-Khawwāṣ (raḥimahullāh) said, “Five things cure the heart: reciting the Qur'ān with tadabbur (reflection), an empty stomach, the night prayer, humbly supplicating to Allah ('azza wa jall) before dawn, and keeping the company of the righteous.”
One of the primary methods we can use to purify our hearts is to perform sincere supplications and prayers according to the prophetic way (sunnah). When we exalt Allah and ask for our sins to be forgiven, this removes arrogance from our hearts and makes us humble.
For it is the QURAN that has the power to let all problems go away, to mend hearts to heal hearts. Allah has mentioned this phenomenon in various places in the Quran. He says "We have sent down in the Quran that which is healing and a mercy to those who believe" (Surat Al-Isra: 17:82).
When our hearts are hardened, it becomes very difficult to worship Allah. Even praying the bare minimum of five daily prayers seems hard. And the more we let it sit in that state, the harder it becomes. We don't feel anything when the verses of the Quran are recited, when we listen to Islamic lectures nothing happens.
Allaahumma innee a'oothu bika min sharri sam'ee. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, and from the evil of my sight, and from the evil of my tongue, and from the evil of my heart and from the evil of my issue.
Al-ʻAlaq or The Clot (Arabic: العلق, al-ʻalaq, also known as "The Clinging Thing" or "The Embryo"), is the 96th chapter (sūrah) of the Qur'an. It is composed of 19 āyāt or verses. It is sometimes also known as Sūrat Iqrā (سورة إقرا, "Read").
Surah Rahman helps to bring you closer to God Almighty. If someone is really feeling anxious and does not know how to get peace of heart then he should recite Surah Ar-Rahman. In this surah, Allah (SWT) describes the beautiful creations of Him, as well as His blessings that He is bestowing upon humans.
In Islam, a “pure heart” refers to a heart that is pure from any impurities, such as disbelief, dishonesty, jealousy, greed, hatred, and other negative traits. The heart is sincere and dedicated to worshiping Allah alone and seeking His pleasure.
The Scholars said that the Name Al -'Aleem العليم is the greatest warner and admonisher. It is mentioned about 150 times in the Qur'an. If you know the meaning of this Name, it will purify your heart from sicknesses.
The Holy Prophet (s) has said: All the hearts of the human beings are between two fingers from the fingers of Allah, He turns them the way He wishes. Then the Prophet (s) prayed: Allāhumma musarrifal qulubi isrif qulūbanā ila tā'atika– O Allah, One who turns the hearts, turn our hearts towards Your obedience.
Recitation of the Quran increases faith. It soothes the heart and comforts the soul. Recitation is an act in which the whole body must participate-the heart, tongue, mind, and soul.
The Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) replied, “say always, 'La ilaha ill-Allah' (there is none worthy of worship except Allah).” Jabir (RadhiAllahu Anhu) reported that the Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, “the best remembrance of Allah is to repeat La ilaha illa Allah.”.
According to Gordon Neufeld, a heart can only be softened with the cultivation of safe and caring attachments with others. It is relationship that offers someone the promise of safety, warmth, and dependence. It is attachment that is the antidote to facing too much separation and wounding.
The Prophet used to invoke Allah at the time of distress, saying, “La ilaha illallahu Al-`Azim, al- Halim, La ilaha illal-lahu Rabbu-s-samawati wal-ard wa Rabbul-arsh il-azim.” If you're struggling with sadness or depression, don't hesitate to give Dua a try.
