Sam had an affair with Lila Stangard, and then had her killed by Frank Delfino after she got pregnant so it wouldn't come to light. Rebecca Sutter's search for proof Sam committed the murder led to his death at the hands of her boyfriend, Wes Gibbins.
The group, with exception to Wes, oblige nervously. A flashback to the murder night reveals Annalise had in fact discovered Sam's dead body and Annalise was actually the one who had ordered Wes—and by extension the others—with its strategic disposal.
Wes strikes Sam on the head with the trophy, killing him. In the woods, the gang agrees to burn Sam's body. Wes returns to the Keating house to retrieve the trophy in an attempt to hide the murder weapon. After having fought with Sam, Annalise goes to Nate's in a panic.
Nate Sr was killed on orders of Xavier Castillo and Governor Lynne Birkhead to prove Annalise's class action would put dangerous criminals back on the street.
Lila Stangard
After all, Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) strangled Lila on Sam's order to cover up their affair that resulted in Lila's pregnancy with their baby.
Not only that, but Frank (Charlie Weber) is actually their secret child, making him Sam's son. The episode was a shocker, delving into this secret abuse in Sam's past, leading to Annalise's (Viola Davis) ultimate discovery about the true identity of Frank's parents.
Connor subsequently expresses remorse for his life of lying and deceit and after Laurel reveals their perjury on the stand, Connor decides to go to prison and stop lying. Connor files for divorce from Oliver, feeling that he is only causing Oliver harm and turning him into a bad person.

Annalise reveals to him that she tried to adopt Wes when he was 11, and that the governor found out about it.
12. Hannah Keating. In the final few episodes, we find out that Hannah and Sam had an incestuous relationship and Frank was their son. After learning this information, Frank was the one who apparently killed her before Annalise's trial.
The lead ensemble changed sides quite a lot throughout the seasons and especially in the last one, including Asher. He became an informant for the FBI to help them nail Annalise. However, he was killed in a poker game by none other than the FBI agent he was talking to, Denise Pollock (Deborah Levin).
Clyde Harkness was Mac Harkness's brother, Ophelia Harkness's brother in law and Anna Mae's uncle. He is described as a big man, who loved to smoke and drink. It is revealed that he lived with Annalise when she was a child and sexually abused her.
Even Alfred Enoch didn't know it was going to be revealed that he killed Sam. Arguably one of the series' best, most important, and shocking reveals, the moment everyone found out Wes killed Sam shocked everyone, including Wes Gibbins himself, Alfred Enoch.
When Wes threatened to turn on Annalise and implicate all of the Keating Five in Sam and Rebecca's murders, Mr. Castillo had him murdered to protect Laurel and the company's reputation.
Wes was killed by Dominick Flores on orders of Jorge Castillo to prevent him from coming forward to the police about killing Sam and the shooting of Annalise, which would have tanked Antares stock value after they filed for an IPO, as Laurel would have been implicated.
Annalise obviously had the DNA tested, and sure enough, Frank's DNA matched. He is officially the son of Hannah and Sam Keating.
Annalise revealed to him that she knew he was Sam's son, but in order to see Gabriel's reaction (and his explanation for all his shady behavior), you'll have to tune in when How to Get Away with Murder returns in 2019. Personally, we're just dying to know if little Gabriel has figured out how his daddy really died.
Around the end of 1994, Julie's sister, Bonnie, gave birth to her son who was conceived out of rape. Bonnie passed out during the birth and when she awoke, her father, their father, told Bonnie that her baby had died. In reality, the baby survived and Bob and Julie took the baby to St. Lincoln Hospital.

Once realizing that he did actually want to be a lawyer, he decided to re-apply for Middleton to repeat his second year again.
How swift were Annalise, Frank and Bonnie tonight? Not only did Bonnie solve Sam's murder all by herself, while Annalise and Frank framed Nate Lahey on HTGAWM. The episode ended with Nate getting arrested, and I can't say he looked all that surprised.
In season six, it is revealed that Frank Delfino is the son of Sam Keating and his sister Hannah. Because Frank is the catalyst behind the car crash that killed Sam in utero, Frank is indirectly responsible for his baby brother's death.
If you don't quite buy Julie's story about a teenage girl burying her newborn nephew in the woods, there is an alternate theory that has been brewing since the Season 4 finale: Gabriel Maddox is actually Bonnie's long lost son.
Bonnie Had A Huge Crush On Frank From The Beginning
In season 3, it was shown that Bonnie and Frank were involved in a sexual relationship but then Frank left and that was that. However, in season 6, it was further revealed that Bonnie had had a crush on Frank much before any of the events of the show had begun.
