So yes,Luffy can take the Admirals as well as Smoker. I think that we can only wait and see how he does against a Logia user, as he is soon to fight Ceasar Clown.
Shanks and Akainu have clashed in the past, but Akainu was only an Admiral, and he was aware that he stood no chance against Shanks. Needless to say, Shanks is still comfortably stronger than him.
Garp would ultimately come out as the winner against Akainu. If the two of them fought at full power at the peak of their abilities, Garp's experience and his “D.” would ultimately help him overcome Akainu's Devil Fruit power, which is his strongest weapon. In all other aspects, Garp is the more powerful of the two.

Shiki clashed against Roger many times but like Garp, he could never get the better of his rival. When Roger was in prison, Shiki invaded Marineford and fought against both Garp and Sengoku. In this battle, Garp was seriously injured.
Probably no, Mihawk can't cut even Diamond Jozu with his one of the strongest slash and King Elizabello's punch can't broke Bartolomeo's barrier. Mihawk can't win against Kaido who had insane strength that is enough to destroy half of an island.
he can beat those two yonko for sure. His power and haki and stamina are way too strong for these two yonkos. Shanks and kaido are on another level of power. maybe if garp was in his prime he could defeat kaido and shanks but right now he is too old.
In One Piece 1055, Oda all but answered the question of who is stronger between the Yonko and the Admirals and the answer to the question is the former, and by quite a mile.
Yamato was capable of holding back Kaido and that's all an Admiral has to do. Kid and Law took down Linlin, two Admirals would decimate her. Once that happens, Three Admirals at the same time vs Kaido would destroy him in a minute. Admirals also has greater teamwork than two yonko.
What i think guys dragon is a former admiral during the era of Z. While being admiral he and Z both saw that the WG is only trying to dominate the world, it is not at all justice they admired so they both left WG.
