Hela Was Worthy Enough to Destroy Mjolnir
Many people other than Thor have wielded Mjolnir, including his sister Hela. But the impactful scene in Thor: Ragnarok depicts Hela catching Mjolnir in mid-air before then crushing it to pieces. Odin previously told Thor the power of the Uru metal had no equal.
Yes, even Spider-Man has been worthy of holding the hammer of Thor.
While we recently told you that 'Spider-Man' Peter Parker is stronger than 'Captain America' Steve Rogers, our today's Marvel trivia is all about Cap and his special abilities – being able to lift The God of Thunder – Thor's weapons – Stormbreaker and Mjolnir.
Yes, as a shock to many, Superman has briefly lifted the mighty hammer in a phenomenal crossover with Marvel and DC Comics.
NOT WORTHY
The Dark Knight might be one of the least worthy heroes in any universe. While Batman does have some of the characteristics that would allow him to lift Mjolnir, he also has committed several acts that disqualify him.
Captain Marvel, aka Shazam, is one of the most powerful heroes DC has to offer. He's on Superman's level, though Shazam's powers are derived from magic. However, being powerful is not what makes Shazam worthy of Mjolnir. In fact, Shazam is not the one who is worthy of the hammer; Billy Batson is.
Thanos didn't lift Mjolnir, Captain America did
With Mjolnir's worthiness enchantment resulted in Thor being able to lift the hammer only if he is considered to be worthy, but likewise, the enchantment is not discriminatory in nature, and anyone who is deemed worthy is able to lift the hammer.
And Mathaudhu can cite documentary sources to back him up. For example, Marvel – which publishes the Thor comics – issued a “Thor's Hammer” trading card in 1991 that states Mjolnir is made of Uru and weighs precisely 42.3 pounds.
In the final battle against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, we see Thor almost getting killed by Stormbreaker, and the reason why Thanos can pick it up is because it was never imbued with Odin's magic. So for all intents and purposes, Stormbreaker is just an axe/hammer.
Venom (2020)
During this battle, Venom (Eddie Brock) was given the powers of Captain Universe, and was able to wield the hammer. However, Venom took this advantage a step further by merging Mjolnir with the Silver Surfer's surfboard to create an even greater weapon.
Other than Thor and Odin, certain other individuals have proven worthy of lifting Mjolnir in the primary continuity: Roger "Red" Norvell (a deliberate ruse by Odin) Beta Ray Bill. Buri (also known as Tiwaz, Thor's great-grandfather)
Would Deadpool be able to lift Thor's hammer? Yes because DP can break the 4th wall anytime he pleases.
However, as Odin's first born and most loyal and faithful servant, Hela was the original wielder of Mjolnir. Drawing enhanced strength and power from Asgard itself, at one point, Hela was the most powerful warrior in all Nine Realms, unmatched in every way.
Loki and Thor are both gods and have immense godly powers that make them somewhat impervious to harm, though they can be beaten; they can lose eyes (Thor) and they can die (Loki). If the metric is physical strength, then Thor is easily the winner.
Powerful in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and exceedingly more so in the comics), the hammer can only be lifted by Thor or anyone else who happens to be "worthy" of the honor.
The amazing thing about the Hulk is that unlike nearly every other superhero ever created, the Hulk's strength has absolutely no upper limit. He can lift a commercial airplane – which weighs around 100 tons – when he is at his calmest; that's no problem for him.
If Thor's hammer is indeed made of a star, like the Marvel comic book says, it would weigh as much as 300 billion elephants. Assuming the average weight of an elephant, this equates to approximately 4.5 quadrillion pounds, according to a Slate report (we'll trust their math).
Notably, many of Thor's greatest feats have to do with lifting or throwing entire planets out of orbit (or objects that weigh as much as planets). He lifted the World Serpent – a creature weighing trillions of tons, using only his strength and a magic fishing rod.
Ultron could not lift Mjolnir regardless of his mechanical status because his mind is twisted and evil, therefore he would not be worthy.
Based on the analysis of powers, speed, strength, durability, and combat, we can safely say that Odin is stronger than Thanos and outmatches him in almost every aspect. Thanos might be among the most feared villains in the Marvel Universe, but he comes nowhere near when compared to All-Father Odin.
Strength level
Class 100+ ; Thor possesses infinite physical strength, he is able to lift far in excess of 100 tons effortlessly. He has shown enough strength to move and lift objects that are as heavy as the Earth and shatter entire planets with his blows.
He can travel through space unharmed and can summon powerful bolts of lightning with his indestructible enchanted hammer. The Flash may be able to escape harm for a bit, but in the end, Thor would be too strong for the Flash to withstand.
By most accounts, Superman seemingly outclasses Thor in terms of raw strength, especially in earlier versions of the DC Universe. He's pulled planets, punched people into orbit and performed all sorts of wild feats of strength.
It was later revealed that although Superman was honorable enough to wield Thor's hammer, he does not possess the heart of a warrior, and so Odin temporarily took away the hammer's enchantment so that Superman could save the day.
