While most of the Ten Rings can only use a handful of the techniques, only their master Emperor Zheng Zu can use all ten techniques while his son Shang-Chi can use nine.
With an origin shrouded in mystery, The Ten Rings have quickly become one of the most powerful weapons in the MCU. Coming into possession of Xu Wenwu, he used the rings to conquer several civilizations throughout his centuries of life and found the notorious crime organization by the same name as the weapon.
While the Ten Rings in the right hands possess massive potential, and their powers do sometimes seem to grow in order to fit the plot, the Infinity Stones still reign supreme. Their limitless abilities and unbridled potential mark them as the undisputedly most powerful objects in the MCU.
MCU Theory Reveals Shang-Chi's Ten Rings Are From The Oldest Kang Variant. The Ten Rings are one of the MCU's most mysterious recent developments, but they could have a much deeper connection to Kang and the Multiverse Saga.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania officially debuted Kang, but the threequel revealed very little about the McU's new big bad. That being said, a theory inspired by how Marvel Studios set up the Infinity Saga culmination claims that Shang-Chi's Ten Rings are tied to Kang.
Paired with the power of the Ten Rings, which provides him with super strength, advanced reflexes, energy manipulation and blasts, and longevity in life, Shang-Chi's powers are comparable to that of the Hulk, Thor, Captain Marvel, and Scarlet Witch, who may be just a step above him because she can create a whole world ...
The Rhythm Stone didn't actually have any powers. Unlike the rest of the real Infinity Stones, the Rhythm Stone couldn't be combined with the others, provide a power boost, or change reality.
They are depicted as iron rings wielded by Xu Wenwu, and later his son Shang-Chi. The Ten Rings grant their user enhanced strength and longevity, emit concussive energy blasts, and can be telepathically controlled as projectiles and tendrils.
For example, both the rings and Vibranium are capable of withstanding powerful strikes. In addition, the two metals can also create and expel energy in multiple forms. However, within their similarities, their differences also show why the rings are more powerful than Vibranium.
Overall, though, Stormbreaker seems to have the edge over Mjolnir once again. Strong enough to open the Bifrost, reach Eternity, and manipulate storms the same way Mjolnir can, Stormbreaker's powers are greater than that of the mythical hammer.
Marvel Cinematic Universe (Earth-199999)
Xu Wenwu found ten rings (as large as bracelets, to be worn on the wrists) that grant their user immortality and great power, including enhanced strength, emission of concussive energy blasts, and be used projectiles through telepathic control.
Shang-Chi is human, which automatically means he's not immortal by himself. Still, the power of the Ten Rings, which holds a unique power, also prolongs the wielders' life to the level of immortality. However, Shang-Chi is as vulnerable as any other human when he is not wearing the rings.
As the battle went on, the Ten Rings started to respond and change in attunement with Shang-Chi's presence when he stole the first set of five rings from his father. Once Shang-Chi started wielding them, they glowed a yellow-orange and emitted yellow energy.
During the Marvel NOW! relaunch, Shang-Chi joins the Avengers after being recruited by Captain America and Iron Man.
The Stones, with the exception of the Soul Stone, made their debuts in films leading up to Avengers: Infinity War (2018). The Space Stone, the first Stone to appear, was featured in a post-credit scene for Thor (2011), housed within the Tesseract.
When combined within the Infinity Gauntlet, they grant the wearer near-immeasurable powers. However, while each Infinity Stone can accomplish amazing feats and displays of power, the Soul Stone has a strong case for being the most powerful of the six.
Shang-Chi - No
While Shang-Chi wields the magical artifact of the Ten Rings masterfully, lifting Mjolnir is a different proposition entirely due to the strong will of the hammer.
All of The Avengers who attempted to lift Mjolnir were fundamentally good people, but their internal struggles were likely part of why they couldn't wield it. Shang-Chi fits this description perfectly, as he struggles with his past as a trained assassin and being the son of one of the world's most dangerous warlords.
It is likely that most are underestimating Shang-Chi's power. Yes, the Hulk would likely crush him, but Shang-Chi is far from the weakest in the MCU. He may not seemingly have any outright superpowers in the trailers, but even if he doesn't, neither did Black Widow—and she's even taking on Disney.
Shang-Chi's Ten Rings are equal to ten Eternals, so there are ten Rings in total. Wenwu may have come across Phastos or the rings some 1000 years ago when they were still in their infancy. Kang the Conqueror, another of our favorites, is included in the other, more out there, option.
The Ten Rings is a fictional organization in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is a clandestine criminal organization founded one thousand years ago by Xu Wenwu, an immortal warlord, and named after his mystical ten rings.
Despite primarily being an Avengers villain, the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby creation Kang first appeared in the pages of Marvel's Fantastic Four.
