Athena is the single most prevalent foe of Ares, the two were the ultimate symbol of war, two siblings with the same station but who were so different they were always ready to fight one another.
ATTENDANTS. DEIMOS & PHOBOS The twin gods of terror and fear were close companions of Ares. They drove the god's chariot and assisted him on the battlefield. ERIS & ENYO The goddess of strife, hatred and war was sometimes called sister of Ares and was always described as his close companion.
Ares also fled in fear of the giant Typhon when the monster first attacked Olympus, though most other Olympians (other than Zeus) did as well. Even though Ares was the god of war, some say he disturbed the gods with his loud bellows when he lost.
It is said that the boar which killed Adonis was no ordinary beast but the god Ares, who was one of Aphrodite's many lovers. Jealous of her passion for Adonis, Ares, disguised himself in the form of a boar and attacked the young man.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
“Aries fears being wrong more than anything or being told what to do if what they are told is incorrect or inconsistent with what Aries knows to be 'right,'” says Athena Perrakis, PhD of Sage Goddess.
Hades. A Greek god, brother to Zeus and Poseidon. He is either the fearsome yet just ruler of the Greek underworld, or a malicious Devil-esque figure, depending on the version.
Ares was the Greek god of war. He was perhaps the most unpopular of all the Olympian gods because of his quick temper, aggressiveness, and unquenchable thirst for conflict. Ares famously seduced Aphrodite, unsuccessfully fought with Hercules, and enraged Poseidon by killing his son Halirrhothios.
APHRODITE The goddess of love and beauty had a long love affair with Ares which lasted for the duration of her marriage to Hephaistos and beyond. She bore him four divine sons and a daughter: Eros, Anteros, Deimos, Phobos and Harmonia.
Attendants. Deimos ("Terror" or "Dread") and Phobos ("Fear") are Ares' companions in war, and according to Hesiod, are also his children by Aphrodite.
Ares was never married, but he fell in love with Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
Ares and His Daughter Alcippe
Ares, like many Greek gods, had a lot of children and like any father he sought to protect his offspring as much as possible. So, when the son of Poseidon, Halirrhothius, raped Ares' daughter Alcippe, a furious Ares took revenge by killing his child's murderer.
Diomedes then threw his spear (which was guided by Athena) at Ares, wounding his stomach. The god screamed in a voice of ten thousand men and fled away. This was how Diomedes became the only human to wound two Olympians in a single day.
Weaknesses: Impulsive, bloodthirsty, raring for a fight regardless of the consequences. Relationships:No spouse, and his main love is war.
Ares, son of Zeus and Hera, was the god of the most brutal and unrestrained aspects of war. Though he was one of the Twelve Olympians, his fellow gods had little love for him. In myth, Ares was characterized by his cruelty and insatiable taste for bloodshed.
From at least the time of Homer—who established him as the son of the chief god, Zeus, and Hera, his consort—Ares was one of the Olympian deities; his fellow gods and even his parents, however, were not fond of him (Iliad, Book V, 889 ff.).

Ares was the son of Zeus and HERA. He himself was not married, but he had many liaisons, most famously with APHRODITE, goddess of love and wife of the crippled smith-god HEPHAESTUS, as recounted by the bard Demodocus in Homer's Odyssey (8.266–366).
Ares was not well-liked by the Greek populace, as he is known for his brutality and savagery. He represented the evils of war, in contrast to his sister, Athena, who was a symbol of its more noble aspects.
Among his many derogatory nicknames there were “War Glutton”, “City Sacker”, “Shield Piercer”, and even “Curse of Men.” Read on to learn more about the enfant terrible of ancient Greece.
However, his intervention will lead him to death at the hands of Zeus himself. Hit by a whip of fire, he was incinerated and his imprint will remain clearly visible on a slab brought immediately on the Olympus.
Ares has hated Hercules ever since Hercules killed Ares' pets, the monstrous Stymphalian birds, and his hatred increased when he noticed Hercules being favored by their father, while he was shunned for his brutal behavior.
Ares is the son of Zeus and Hera. He was disliked by both parents. He is the god of war. He is considered murderous and bloodstained but, also a coward.
Trivia. He along with Zeus and Odin are the three God of War villains to be Near Pure Evil. He, alongside his DC counterpart are one of the two of Ares of being Near Pure Evil.
But when Ares dies, nothing really seems to happen outside of a really big explosion. There's no cataclysmic event that shakes the realm; Greece as a whole remains virtually unaffected, even before Kratos takes the throne as the new god of war.
