Darth Vader betrayed
The Emperor wanted Vader to bring Skywalker before him, so he could be turned to the dark side. Despite Vader's seeming loyalty to the Emperor, Palpatine wanted to replace his servant with a new apprentice, while Vader plotted to overthrow the Emperor so he could rule the galaxy with his son.
Vader's confessing that Luke is his son and that they could rule the galaxy together speaks to the person Anakin used to be – the one desperate for connection and love. It wasn't until Vader betrayed Palpatine that he was able to embrace the light, but that instinct was always there, clawing its way out.
Years later, Vader uses Starkiller as his personal assassin, sending him on missions to benefit the Empire, as well as his own plans to overthrow Palpatine.
Lord Starkiller is an antagonist in an alternate Star Wars timeline in which Darth Vader is defeated and killed by his former apprentice Galen Marek, code named Starkiller.
In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker.
Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious
Villains like Kylo Ren and Darth Vader sometimes feel the pull to the light, but Darth Sidious, also known as Emperor Palpatine, is the embodiment of pure evil.
Introduced in the first film in the original Star Wars trilogy, Governor Tarkin is the Grand Moff of the Galactic Empire and commander of the Death Star.
Kenobi bested Anakin, severing his limbs, and leaving him to die, burning on the shores of a lava river. Darth Sidious recovered Anakin's broken body and returned with him to Coruscant. Medical droids rebuilt Anakin with cybernetic parts, encasing him in dark armor to complete his transformation into Darth Vader.
Having covertly turned Kylo Ren—Anakin's grandson and Luke's nephew—to the dark side, Palpatine orders Ren to find and kill Rey, the last remaining Jedi and Palpatine's paternal granddaughter. Palpatine is ultimately defeated and destroyed by Rey.
Anakin Skywalker, in one last digged-effort, before his imprisonment as Darth Vader for the next 23 years, cries out for help. He yearns for his beloved Padme, with the words, “Padme, help me.”
Unable to see his son get killed, Vader steps in and throws Palpatine down the reactor shaft, to his apparent death. While this is happening though, Darth Vader gets fatally electrocuted. Luke, at his father's request, takes off his helmet so he can look at his son one last time, with his real face.
The Identity of Darth Vader is a Result of Betrayal
In a fit of his own rage, Anakin inadvertently contributes to killing his own wife through her heartbreak during childbirth. His consent to becoming Darth Vader was in exchange for Padmé's guaranteed survival.
The short answer is yes, without a doubt, Vader regretted becoming a cybernetic monstrosity. First, there's the constant pain and discomfort from his suit. Worse, however, is the psychological pain. Vader destroyed everything he had ever known for a chance to save Padme.
5 Emperor Palpatine's Death In Return Of The Jedi
By killing Palpatine, Darth Vader not only struck a decisive blow to Star Wars' Galactic Empire but also destroyed the Sith Order of Darth Bane's dynasty as the Chosen One prophecy predicted.
We would have to give the victory to Darth Vader. While the two dark lords seem perfectly matched on their villainy and power, Darth Vader's lightsaber and ability to immediately use the force to choke Voldemort, without chanting any spell would end this showdown in seconds.
As Supreme Commander, Darth Vader was the ranking leader of the Imperial Military.
Thanos wields more power and authority than Darth Vader, existing as a stronger and more capable villain overall.
Plo Koon. Wise and compassionate, Plo Koon was one of the most effective Jedi masters, genuinely caring about the clones he commanded.
1 Darth Sidious
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
Almost 1000 years after Bane's death, Darth Plagueis trains Darth Sidious, who ultimately kills his master and takes Darth Maul as his first apprentice. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace - Sidious and Maul are the only known Sith in the galaxy.
Biography. Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo.
Aside from agility and telekinesis, Yoda could absorb and redirect Force attacks, like lightning. Because of his higher understanding, he would easily overcome Darth Vader in a fight, though that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a difficult battle.
Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN's audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.
