But while Tokito did indeed train with the doll and left it damaged, Kotetsu decided to allow Tanjiro to use Yoriichi Type Zero to become even stronger.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
This is the sword that appeared out of the neck of the doll at the end of Demon Slayer season three's second episode. In the manga Tanjiro has the sword repaired by Haganezuka, who he initially traveled to the Swordsmith Village to find.
During episode three we learned that the Yoriichi Type Zero was built by Kontetsu's ancestors more than 300 years ago, during the Sengoku era.
Many Kimetsu no Yaiba fans deduce that Yoriichi is Tanjiro's father, but that isn't the case. However, Yoriichi is responsible for teaching Tanjiro's ancestors the Hinokami Kagura, which has been passed down for generations.
Haganezuka will start the restoration process of the blade as Tanjiro will inherit this sword as the rightful owner. This legendary Nichirin blade is the prize for anyone capable enough to defeat the Yoriichi Type Zero doll, hence, the new owner is Tanjiro.
Some of the characters who have faced Yoriichi and survived
This happened due to a treatment that had gone wrong. While he was being treated, Muzan killed the doctor because he was not able to observe any results.
Black is the most mysterious color of all the blades, and is held by the main character, Tanjiro. It is a rare blade and represents the sun; it also holds a theory that the demon slayers who own this sword are not to live a long life.
Demon Slayer season three spoilers follow.
We watched Tanjiro spend most of the episode battling against an extremely cool mechanical doll, the Yoriichi Type Zero, under the tutelage of young swordswmith Kotetsu until the pair were surprised by a treasure hidden inside.
Michikatsu, who snuck around behind their father's back to see his brother, pitied Yoriichi, who was thought to be deaf until he was seven and clung to his mother's side at all time. At some point, he gave Yoriichi a flute he made as a gift.
Tanjiro's ancestor was a good friend of Yoriichi and arguably was one of his only true friends. Therefore Yoriichi gave the earrings as a gift, and since then they have been passed down the generations until they reached Tanjiro.
After his mother Akeno gave him his signature Hanafuda earrings, Yoriichi realized he received them because his family had considered him deaf.
After Tanjiro chipped his sword in his battle against Upper Rank Six, Hotaru trained more to make a stronger sword. Hotaru demonstrated his professionalism and expertise when he polished and sharpened the 300-year-old blade left in Yoriichi Type Zero while completely ignoring the wounds he received from Gyokko.
Since the mechanical doll was based off Yoriichi Tsugikuni, it had to be given six arms to recreate his swordsmanship style, the doll was also able to execute 108 various moves and is said to be stronger than an average human.
Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc will see Tanjiro obtaining the 300 years old Nichirin blade of the legendary Yoriichi Tssugikuni.
8) Muzan hates being called pale or dead
Muzan is the most powerful demon in the entire series, and is responsible for creating all demons. For someone who considers himself to be perfect, it is natural that he will hate being called pale or dead. This is established quite early on.
like how Gyomei is described. as the strongest Demon Slayer of the current generation, flow is his weapon. According to Kokushibo, gyomei's flail and axe are made of iron that's so pure. that it absorbs more sunlight.
Yoriichi would be able to defeat every single Hashira on this list without breaking a sweat. Such was his reputation and skill in swordsmanship.
When Yoriichi moved forward to kill him, Muzan used the remains of whatever power he had left and divided his body in a powerful burst. Though Yoriichi was able to destroy nearly all the fragments, the pieces he missed escaped and allowed Muzan to regenerate again.
So to compare Tanjiro's Demon form in which he's immune to sunlight, and also has the prowess of Sun Breathing, it would give him an upper hand, but still he would lose to Yoriichi.
During the Sengoku period, members of the Swordsmith Village created a specialized battle doll to train Demon Slayers. It was modelled after Yoriichi, the progenitor of Breathing Styles and the strongest Demon Slayer to have lived.
Tanjiro's connection to Yoriichi is not through blood relation, but through their similar appearances, which is due to the divine nature of Sun Breathing.
In the Demon Slayer manga's final chapter, Yoriichi and his family have been reincarnated and are seen in the deep background of a panel as Tanjiro's own descendants head to school.
