You may get Crisis Payment if you've had to change where you live due to an unforeseen extreme circumstance. A one-off payment if you've arrived in Australia as a humanitarian entrant for the first time. A one-off payment to help you if you've been released from prison or psychiatric confinement.
Aussies who compare energy providers will receive a one-off $250 payment, as part of a new NSW election promise. NSW households will receive a $250 cost-of-living payment for comparing energy providers, if the Coalition is re-elected in March.
One-off payment principles – Visiting Medical Officers
NSW Health Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) are eligible for the one-off payment recently announced by the NSW Government- subject to meeting eligibility criteria. To be eligible, VMOs must have an active VMO contract on 1 July 2022.
The Cost of Living Payment is a $250 one-off payment to help with the cost of living. The Cost of Living Payment is not taxable, and you don't need to report it as income.
To get the $250 one-off Cost of Living Payment you must be a Centrelink or Department of Veterans'Affairs customer. You must have been residing in Australia on 29 March 2022 and either: you were able to claim, or were getting an eligible payment. you were able to get, or had an eligible concession card.
The government will provide $3.7 million in 2023–24 to extend the measure to provide age and veteran pensioners a once-off credit of $4,000 to their Work Bonus income bank and temporarily increase the maximum income bank until 31 December 2023.
When will they receive the payment? Eligible recipients will receive the payment in April 2022.
The Work Bonus income bank is useful for pensioners who wish to work, particularly those who undertake intermittent or occasional work. Note: from 1 December 2022 to 31 December 2023, a one-off, temporary credit of $4,000 applies to Work Bonus income bank balances.
We'll apply the Work Bonus to your eligible income if you meet all the eligibility requirements. All you need to do is declare your income. You can use your Centrelink online account through myGov to see your Work Bonus balance.
From July people in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania will get $500, including $250 each from Canberra and their state governments; Victorians will get $250 from Canberra after receiving state government assistance in March.
To claim the bonus — a once-off payment per round — visit the Victorian Energy Compare website or use an energy affordability service from a participating community partner. You will need a recent electricity bill that names you as an account holder.

This measure extends the increase to 31 December 2023. The Work Bonus concession of $300 per fortnight will stay the same. Eligible pensioners now have until 31 December 2023 to use their bigger Work Bonus balance. Any Work Bonus balance above $7,800 after 31 December 2023 will reset to $7,800.
This payment is for those who start studying at any point in the year immediately after completing year 12 or equivalent. If you're eligible, you can only claim the Tertiary Access Payment from January 1 to December 31 in your first year of tertiary study.
