In the movie, professor Minerva McGonagall gives Harry Potter a Nimbus 2000 when he joins the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
Harry made the Quidditch team, becoming the youngest Seeker in history. To ensure Potter had his broom, McGonagall bought Harry a Nimbus 2000 broomstick, which was the fastest broom at the time.
The Nimbus 2000 broomstick once was the fastest broomstick in production until the 2001 model. Harry was gifted one from Professor McGonagall when he first joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a seeker. This charm is solid 925 Sterling Silver.
Did you know? It was Crookshanks who helped Sirius gift Harry his Firebolt. Sirius tasked the cat with taking the broomstick order to the Owl Office in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Shelvi Tyas and 7,042 others like this.
And yet, very early on in his first year, Harry Potter is gifted a Nimbus 2000 by the head of his house Professor McGonagall. This no doubt made Harry Potter the only first year student to be allowed their own broom.
McGonagall didn't buy Harry the Nimbus with her own money or school money; she bought on Harry's behalf with his own money. And as for Ron's wand, McGonagall probably did send a letter to Molly and Arthur telling them that Ron needed a new wand.
It could only mean one thing – Snape was plotting to steal the Philosopher's Stone and use it to resurrect the Dark Lord! Once again, the trio had the wrong end of the broomstick. Snape was trying to prevent the Stone from falling into the wrong hands.
History. Correctly suspecting that Sirius Black sent it, Hermione Granger reported it to Professor McGonagall. McGonagall then confiscated it for testing, in order to ensure Harry's safety.
Sirius ordered the Firebolt by owl post, and had the money taken from his own vault. Interestingly, the goblins don't seem to care if you're a criminal or not, they seem to feel you have a right to your money and can put anything in your vault you want.
Where did James Potter get the invisibility cloak from? James got it from his own father. The Invisibility Cloak was a Potter family heirloom, handed down from father to son for centuries. It was made by Ignotus Peverell, a distant ancestor of James.
In the first book of the series, "Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone," headmaster Albus Dumbledore gives Harry an invisibility cloak as a gift that belonged to Harry's father who passed away, James. If Voldemort got his hands on all 3, hed be unstoppable.
Dumbledore, at one point or another, took possession of all three Deathly Hallows, too (not all all the same time, though). He borrowed the Invisibility Cloak from James Potter once. He defeated the owner of the Elder Wand, Gellert Grindelwald, in a duel, and thus became the owner of that super-vital artifact.
Why are there two Invisibility cloaks in Harry Potter Series?
Professor McGonagall is a Death Eater
According to the theory, McGonagall's seeming disregard for Harry Potter's safety, her talent for transfiguration, and and her stoic nature all point to the fact that she was a Death Eater.
None of the pupils had the power to cast Avada Kedavra. Not even McGonagall could cast it, and she was duelling to kill - she said so herself.
For example, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, Snape was reluctant to fight McGonagall when the latter took him to a duel in front of Hogwarts students. Both characters had their strengths, but the last Harry Potter movie proved Snape was the strongest Hogwarts professor.
At Hogwarts, rather than be sorted into Slytherin like the rest of his family, Sirius was placed in Gryffindor. In contrast to his home life, Sirius greatly enjoyed life at Hogwarts, where he was inseparable from his best friend, James Potter.
The Firebolt is the fastest, at 150 miles an hour per 10 seconds, and equipped with Braking Charm. "This came with it."
Crookshanks saw Scabbers and knew he was an Animagus, and pounced at and chased him, causing Scabbers to run away. Hermione decided to purchase Crookshanks instead of an owl, having heard how long he had lived there.
He finds Ron and Hermione and tell them about the map. Hermione wishes Harry would turn it in, concerned that Black might know about the secret entrances on it.
It was just that the Irish side (among others, presumably) did buy them, which is obviously a good thing to mention when trying to sell them :P. Just because Harry is using it , Draco always wanted to be different from Harry. It's just like Harry would never buy the Nimbus 2001 ..
Professor Mcgonagall, Harry's Head of House, said that Harry deserved expulsion, but Snape gave Harry detentions instead. Harry being necessary to the war, even if Snape and Mcgonagall had both demanded it, Dumbledore never would have allowed Harry to be expelled.
Sectumsempra is a curse invented by Professor Severus Snape, during his childhood, when he was known as "The Half-Blood Prince". He created it with the intention of using it against his enemies, and it soon became one of his specialties.
While in school together, Sirius once tricked Snape into almost entering the Shrieking Shack while Lupin was there, transformed into a werewolf. James realised the danger and stopped Snape, saving his life; this is the incident Dumbledore referred to at the end of the first book.
Now, as firmly established, Snape was not the greatest fan of Harry, but that didn't mean that he ever stopped loving Lily. Dumbledore was surprised that Snape seemed to care for the boy. With a swish of his wand, Snape conjured up a Patronus – Lily's Patronus, a doe. 'Always,' he said.
