Jesus is the ultimate firstborn (a title applied to him by Paul). The gospel authors never refer directly to Jesus as God's firstborn, but they do refer to him as the Son of God, a title that connects to the theme of the firstborn. ).

God the Father is a title given to God in Christianity. In mainstream trinitarian Christianity, God the Father is regarded as the first person of the Trinity, followed by the second person, God the Son Jesus Christ, and the third person, God the Holy Spirit.
