Shinobu is Kosaku Kawajiri's indifferent housewife and Hayato's mother. Her dull life is brightened when her husband mysteriously changes his demeanour and her love for her husband is renewed, unaware that Kosaku is in fact Yoshikage Kira in disguise.
Shinobu first met Kosaku Kawajiri in junior high school and dated him because her friends thought he was cool. They married when she became pregnant.
Kira became pregnant with Kalani in 1999 when she was 18. After turning 19 Kira gave birth to Kalani on September 23, 2000. Seven years later her middle child Jax was born on October 11, 2007.
