Any time I read an article about INFJs and relationships, it seems to repeat the same advice: our “ideal” match is the ENTP personality type. Then there is almost always a statement about how any two personality types can make a relationship work if they try hard enough.
INTPs latch onto INFJs like nerdy octopi. We like to monopolize their attention and companionship because they always seem to be actively listening. Moreover, INFJs give INTPs precious, thought-provoking feedback.
INFJs are attractive to others because they are compassionate, deeply caring, intuitive, insightful, and open-minded. They are highly empathetic and understand the emotions and needs of others. INFJs also make great listeners and enjoy helping others solve personal problems.
INFP:because they have most similar personality as INFJ they share most things commonly. ENFJ: they love INFJ because of their personality is totally same expect the extroversion but some way opposite. ENTP use their extroversion qualities to bring the hidden form of the true INFJ and vice versa.
INFJs' only true enemy is themselves, or more specifically, their inner critic. However, some personality types may be difficult for INFJs to get along with including: ESTJs: They are often seen as being too blunt, dominant, and insensitive for INFJs.
INFJs are no exception to this rule, and when they become overly stressed they may display a dark side that includes angry outbursts, obsessive worrying, perfectionism, or even depression. When INFJs first encounter stress, they start to behave very true-to-type.
INFJs and ENFPs also make for great friends. Their inverted cognitive functions complement each other extremely well, which can often lead to INFJs suggesting solutions that someone with an ENFP personality would never think of on their own, and vice versa.
INFJs are most likely to marry someone who shares their values and vision for the future, regardless of their personality type. INFJs are more likely to marry someone who values emotional depth and intimacy and is dedicated to personal growth and development.
INFP is the type most commonly mistaken for INFJ, and they use Ne as their co-pilot process. If Signs 1 and 5 are both sound true for you there's a very good chance you're an INFP. ENFPs lead with Ne and have Fi as their co-pilot.
The INFJ is most compatible with both the ENFJ and the ENTP. These two personality types can use their extroversion to bring out the best-hidden qualities of the INFJ. They will become more confident and try new activities to push beyond their comfort zone.
An INFJ might flirt by asking someone to listen to a song that might help convey feelings the INFJ can't verbalize. We flirt by being awkward. Do we spend a lot of time around them and try to catch a quick glimpse, and then turn away? We flirt with time.
They are also quiet but fierce hardworking perfectionists who dream big and achieve their goals. Because they are often reserved, high-achieving individuals with high expectations of both themselves and others, INFJs can be intimidating to other personality types.
At just 1.5% of the US population, INFJs can be hard to find. Some of us will go our entire lives without running into one! But if you're bound and determined to encounter this, the rare blue diamond of personality types, here are some ways to increase your chances.
The best matches for INFJs include intuitive types such as INTJ, INFP, and ENFJ. INFJs are the least compatible with sensors, especially ESTJs, ESTPs, and ESFPs. INFJ-INFJ relationships can be emotionally fulfilling yet difficult if both INFJs aren't willing to openly discuss relationship problems.
Do INFJ's get along with other INFJ's? I was actually surprised at the answer myself. Both yes and no. This is where the differences between each INFJ come in.
Also, INFJs tend to mistype a lot. My own theory behind INFJs mistyping as INTJs is based on something INFJs everywhere have probably experienced on some level or another: betrayal. We're very kind and caring people who like to focus on the good in others, and sometimes focusing on the good blinds us to the bad.
The rarest personality type for women
Just 1% of women type as INTJ and ENTJ respectively. Among women, INFJ is only the third rarest personality type with approximately 2% of women categorized as INFJ. Both INTJ women and ENTJ women are extremely rare in the general population.
INFJs can be attentive, helpful partners who know how to make others feel better. They are passionate about positive improvement and can help their partners work to achieve their goals. INFJs care deeply about their partner and are often willing to make important sacrifices to grow in their relationship.
ENFJs are one of the most loving personality types. They are warm, compassionate, and always looking out for the people around them. At So Syncd, we call ENFJs 'So Giving' because they are always giving of themselves, whether it's their time, energy, or resources.
Usually, INFJs prefer not to go out to bars, clubs, or parties where there are a lot of strangers. These types of outings are usually socially draining, and they tend to lack the meaningful connection that INFJs crave. Most INFJs recognize that their aversion to social situations prevents them from making new friends.
INFJs don't like crowds and they usually prefer to have a handful of close friends at most. But those friendships can be incredibly intense, because when an INFJ trusts someone they're often willing to share almost all of their heart and minds with those people.
The INFJ - INFJ Friendship
They want a friend who will be honest and open about their feelings but also knows when not to push too hard. This is the kind of friendship where both parties feel safe sharing their deepest thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or criticism from the other person.
