Though Thanos was born to two Eternals (A'lars and Sui-San), his body carries the Deviant gene. That's why he has mottled purple skin and a disfigured chin whereas the rest of his family could more or less pass for human.
From his birth on Saturn's moon of Titan, Thanos was always an outsider. He carries a Deviants gene, which causes his gruesome and misshapen appearance, with purple, rugged skin.
Thanos, however, drew the shorter stick and inherited the Deviant gene, still diluted in the Eternals and capable of emerging from time to time. That's why Thanos looks like a giant purple guy; Thanos' Deviant gene deformed his appearance.
Eros and other Eternals look like humans because they're offshoots of Homo sapiens while Thanos was afflicted with the Deviant Syndrome that transformed his look into something more akin to Deviants and Deviant Skrulls (like the lines on his face).
All Titans were initially shown being purple-skinned like Thanos in Iron Man #55. The idea of Thanos being different-looking from the rest of his people wasn't established until six months later in Captain Marvel #27.
An Eternal getting a Deviant-like mutation was later dubbed “Deviant Syndrome,” or the way Thanos looks with his purple skin and ridged chin. (Of the two sons, he's the only one with this condition; Eros looks like a regular Eternal, something that Thanos naturally hated his brother for.)
Thanos is an Eternal, this means that he belongs to a race of ancient and superpowered beings created by Celestials. Thanos is, however, different than all other Eternals due to carrying a mutation in his genetic code which manifested as the condition known as Deviant Syndrome.
In the comics, Thanos and Eros are born on the Saturnian moon Titan to two Eternal parents, A'lars and Sui-San. Eros is born without the Deviant mutation, but Thanos is born with Deviant Syndrome. They're biological brothers, but they look wildly different.
Thanos' brother Eros reveres all life. It's this dynamic that keeps their relationship interesting, and it's why Eros should firmly remain a hero. Every comic reader knows that Thanos is one of Marvel's greatest antagonists, famously known for his nihilistic obsession with death.
Where Eros serves as the superhero Starfox, he is opposed by his mad brother Thanos, much like the rest of the universe. He has the power to psychically control other people's emotions. He was a member of the Avengers and Dark Guardians.
ErosStarfox. Eros grew up on Titan alongside his brother Thanos, embracing all the pleasures that life has to offer. He laters becomes Starfox and an official member of the Avengers.
Even though they are siblings, Eros and Thanos have so many differences that it doesn't even appear that they are siblings. With large differences in nature, where Eros is good and Thanos is evil, making their parents choose to love Eros more. It is not surprising that Thanos killed his own parents back in Titan.
The Power Stone (purple)
After Ronan was defeated by the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Power Stone was given to Xandar's Nova Corps. Thanos busted them up off-screen in Infinity War, and eventually used the stone's power to bring an entire planet down on Iron Man and company.
From there, Thanos has one consuming passion that runs almost pretty much through his entire story:He is obsessed with Death. So when the Chitauri leader says that to fight The Avengers would be "courting death itself," it gives Thanos a smiley face.
Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Titanian Eternals. The character possesses abilities common to the Eternals, but amplified to a higher degree through a combination of his mutant–Eternal heritage, bionic amplification, mysticism, and power bestowed by the abstract entity, Death.
Where Eternals are generally attractive and peaceful, Deviants are hideous and warlike. Though Thanos was born to two Eternals (A'lars and Sui-San), his body carries the Deviant gene. That's why he has mottled purple skin and a disfigured chin whereas the rest of his family could more or less pass for human.
Eros is a baby boy name of Greek origin for “desire”. In ancient Greek mythology, Eros is known as the “god of desire” and “son of the goddess of love and fertility, Aphrodite”.
Ultimately, in the later satirical poets, he is represented as a blindfolded child, the precursor to the chubby Renaissance Cupid, whereas in early Greek poetry and art, Eros was depicted as a young adult male who embodies sexual power, and a profound artist.
The myth of Eros and Psyche is probably one of the best love stories in classical mythology. Eros, son of Aphrodite, was the personification of intense love desire and he was depicted throwing arrows to people in order to hit their heart and make them fall in love.
Eros is the youngest son of two Eternals A'Lars and Sui-San. Originally named Eron, he was rechristened Eros at the age of 5, given his interest in the opposite sex. Eros grew up to be a fun-loving, carefree womanizer in contrast to his brother Thanos, a power-hungry, misanthropic schemer.
It has been shown in the comics that Starfox has the speed and strength to deal with Thanos' blows. However, he usually crumbles under the weight of the villain's physical might after a while. Because of the events of Endgame, there will be no need for Starfox to oppose his brother in any future MCU films.
Starfox and Thanos are equally strong. Thanos would win with the Infinity Gauntlet and is physically more powerful, but in a one-on-one fight, Starfox could abuse Thanos' emotions towards Lady Death as well as his nihilist principles and make him do as he pleased. This is why they are on equal terms, ultimately.
Quill becomes the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy after they assemble out of necessity to stop Ronan the Accuser from destroying Xandar. He discovers that he is a Celestial hybrid and that his father, Ego, created him as a means to terraform planets.
The One Above All was one of the many victims of Thanos in his eternal quest to please Death. He was obliterated along his fellow Celestials by Thanos when he stabbed Black Bolt to death in order to use his destructive voice as weapon.
Sprite is a boy in the original comics, but here he's one of many characters that has been gender-swapped for the movie. Does being a young girl rather than a young boy change what sort of character Sprite is, and how?
