Thanos. Perhaps the Avengers villain that MCU fans are most familiar with, Thanos's motivations in the comics are slightly different, but his power remains a constant. He's a true force to be reckoned with, and one that inspires a legion of his own that also has to be contended with.
Thanos has long been one of Marvel's greatest villains, and he has an interesting history.
The Beyonder proved to be an extremely dangerous foe for the Avengers. The first time the heroes of Earth faced him, he was a disembodied force that pitted the heroes against the villains on a distant world. On that occasion, Doom stole the mysterious being's power, threatening reality.

Well, kinda. In terms of impact on the MCU characters, yes, Thanos is the baddest of them all. He kills half the universe!
Thanos. The Mad Titan is still the greatest threat in the MCU. He remains the only villain to have prevailed against Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and although his actions were ultimately undone, his rampage left considerable physical and psychological scars on the entire world.
Thanos's power, cunning, and years of experience have allowed him to outsmart and defeat some of the most powerful beings in the universe. All manners of beings have fallen before Thanos and while the Avengers are powerful, if Thanos really put his mind to it, he could end the Avengers at any moment.
The Sentry was the most powerful member of the New Avengers. He was also the unluckiest. The Sentry was his own worst enemy, with the dark aspects of his personality coming to life as the Void.
#1 Iron Man
Played by Robert Downey Jr., Iron Man consistently ranks as one of the most popular characters, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—and for a good reason.
That villain is, of course, Kang the Conqueror, who's set to be the Avengers' next opponent in the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. And while Thanos is certainly a hard act to follow, Kang may be a far greater threat than the Mad Titan ever was.
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
Steve Rogers aka Captain America is the best example of someone who showed the bravery of a hero before they were a superhero.
Thor. Thor, the god of Thunder, was undoubtedly the most powerful member of the original Avengers. His power continues to grow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
6 Bucky Barnes
Of course, he's one of the exceptions as he turned evil even before becoming the Avenger. Bucky was a hero who fought alongside Steve Rogers in World War Two. But when he was captured and brainwashed, he became an assassin known as the Winter Soldier.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) officially says that he has killed 3000 adversaries in his life, which puts him well ahead of most — apart from Thanos — in the MCU kill total. Yet, only his slaying of Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) likely directly saves the Multiverse.
Invisible Woman is completely in a league of her own as her invisibility makes her quite literally a horror movie monster and her shield-creating powers makes her one of the deadliest people alive–proving that Sue Storm, the sweet and heroic member of the Fantastic Four, is actually Marvel Comics' scariest hero.
