In Love and Thunder, which hits theaters on July 8, Gorr will be played by Christian Bale—making his first appearance in a superhero movie since The Dark Knight Rises came out in 2012. Axl Heimdallson, born Astrid Heimdallson, is the son of Heimdall and Grace who inherited Heimdall's all-seeing eyes. During his life in New Asgard, Norway, Axl became a fan of Guns N' Roses and renamed himself after their lead singer, Axl Rose.
Agar was the son of Gorr the God Butcher who died of starvation and heat stroke some time after his mother's death while two gods fought.
Dependency: Gorr's power is dependent entirely on his symbiote, which itself is dependent on the blood of gods for its power. The more gods killed by the Necrosword or its constructs, the more power it can provide its user; though this power must be replenished as it is used up.
Gorr planted seeds of doubt in Thor's mind, forcing him to question whether gods truly are as noble and benevolent as they seem. Nick Fury seizes on that doubt in 2014's Original Sin, telling Thor "Gorr was right" and rendering the god of thunder so disillusioned that he's no longer able to lift Mjolnir.

But Valkyrie isn't the only LGBTQ character in the film.
