The Maraudo Wolf is a one of the creatures found in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Most creatures drop recoverable materials and some are used for as ingredients for cooking, side quests, shrine quests or armor upgrades. These wolves are not only carnivorous but can also be downright fierce.
In Twilight Princess, Wolf Link is the divine beast that Midna explains the Twili have long believed would free them. Link is transformed into this form due to the influence of the Twilight covering Hyrule.

He is also canonically extremely powerful (even if he isn't that great of a bounty hunter). He is made of shadow magic but has all of the same powers and strength as Link himself. With this in mind, Dark Link's power rivals that of the Hero of Twilight and the Hero of Time.

Making New Friends Has Its Benefits
Most of the treasure chests revealed by dogs will contain a handful of Rubies - making them a great early game perk. But a few dogs in the game will lead Link to better treasures when fully bonded, such as weapons, arrows, and unique items.
If he dies you can load an earlier save file (from when he was still alive) and just summon him again immediatly. If he dies and you chose to continue playing, you won't be able to summon him for the remainder of the day - real days, not in-game days. You can summon him again tomorrow.
Within Zelda lore, Link is the soul of a legendary hero that throughout history is reincarnated within a seemingly ordinary boy or man when the need arises for a new warrior to defeat the forces of evil.
Although it may seem like Link himself is reincarnating, it's actually the spirit of courage, otherwise known as the Spirit of the Hero.
The Adventure of Link
When activated, Link transforms into a Fairy. While in Fairy form, Link gains the power of flight, which is required to traverse a handful of locations in the game including the cave leading to the Island Palace, Palace on the Sea, and Three-Eye Rock Palace.
So basically, Link and Zelda aren't in a canon-confirmed romantic relationship, but Summersett confirms what we've been able to see all along: Link and Zelda share a loving, caring relationship. Link has always been one to support Zelda no matter what, and Zelda has always believed in Link.
In Twilight Princess, Link and Zelda don't even know each other until the events of the game and never bother building a substantial relationship. In Breath of the Wild, Zelda outright hates Link for most of the game, only becoming friendly with him shortly before Link falls into his century-long coma.
You can feed treats to your horse to try to make it more affectionate toward you. Once you have a good relationship with your horse, it'll be more likely to listen to you. You can even customize its mane with colors or flowers, or swap its bridle or saddle.
Epona. The legendary horse Epona will either be the hardest or the easiest horse you get in Breath of the Wild, depending on whether you have the Twilight Link Smash amiibo.
Unfortunately, that promise didn't make it to fruition as the follow-up to Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, does not allow the player to travel by bovine. Although, it is interesting that Majora's Mask does allow players to embark on a side quest involving the cows at Romani Ranch.
Aryll is Link's younger sister in The Wind Waker.
The reward for rescuing Zelda and completing the Triforce? Becoming King of Hyrule and marrying Princess Zelda herself. Despite the fact the two have no connection, this Link ends up becoming King of Hyrule after saving Zelda, marrying her in the process.
Princess Zelda is believed by many to be the love interest of Link in the Legend of Zelda series. She first appeared in The Legend of Zelda for the NES in 1987.
