Ms. Grundy. Cause of death: Strangled by her own cello bow by the Black Hood following a piano lesson with Ben Button in Greendale. This would be the start of the Black Hood's mission to rid Riverdale of all its sinners (following the failed assassination of Fred Andrews in the season 1 finale).
In Life with Archie: The Married Life, Miss Grundy and Mr. Weatherbee realized how much they loved each other, and got married. However, in this alternative future, she died from kidney disease not long afterward, leaving Mr. Weatherbee a broken-hearted widower.
Just before Alice bursts through the door to ruin their final heart to heart, Archie gives Grundy a gift as a "don't forget me present"... a very expensive violin bow. It just so happens that Grundy was murdered with that exact bow.
The Sugarman
Philips' drug activity was discovered and he ended up in a jail cell where he would meet his death. On his quest to rid Riverdale of all sinners, the Black Hood visited the Sugarman in jail and shot him to death.
He was portrayed by Doug Chapman. Also known as TBK, he is a migrating serial killer who Betty encountered while working as a trainee for the FBI.
Hiram is allegedly assassinated by hitman Anatol in "Chapter One Hundred and One: Unbelievable" behind Veronica's order.
Betty and Cheryl lure Archie to Thornhill, where the townspeople await. If they want their maple trees to thrive and for Rivervale to have a bountiful year, then a sacrifice has to be made. Betty is pregnant with Archie's child, and in 25 years, he'll be crowned the Maple King, just like his dad.
He supposedly died under mysterious circumstances when he fell from a boat into Sweetwater River on July 4th. But as it turned out, he died a week later around July 11th, when he was shot by an unknown assailant, who was later revealed to be his own father, Clifford Blossom.
1) Betty's dad, Hal Cooper, is the Black Hood.
Towards the end of Season 2, in Episode 21, Hal Cooper confessed to being the Black Hood. While he planned to kill his wife, Alice, and daughter, Betty, following the revelation, they managed to knock him out before he could.
Archie (KJ Apa), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), and Kevin (Casey Cott) spent the episode doing some amateur sleuthing after Jughead's father, F.P. Jones (Skeet Ulrich) was arrested for, and later confessed to, Jason's murder.
Grundy is an adult who preyed upon her student, and after that comes to light... nothing. Fred makes a twelve-word speech to his son about how Grundy leaving wasn't Archie's fault, but Archie still seems more upset that they got caught than he is at hearing in plain words that he was assaulted.
Their bond continued to grow when Archie proposed to Betty one season later before a comet was set to hit their small town. During the season 6 finale, which aired in July 2022, viewers saw Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) save the world from the impending danger.
She died after being kissed. This is why the title of the episode she dies in, "Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying".
Teacher Francis Dupont (Malcolm Stewart) had tasked the students with killing Jughead so they could win the ghostwriting contract for the Baxter Brothers books. Every previous writer was given the same task including Mr Chipping he jumped out of the window out of guilt for what he had done.
In this series, Jughead has taken over Pop's from Pop Tate and has renamed it Jughead's, which later spanned a franchise in each respective universe. He ended up abandoning the franchise to operate the original shoppe in Riverdale. In this series, he ends up marrying Midge Klump in one universe, and Ethel in the other.
Clifford Blossom was revealed to have been Jason's killer and Mustang, his captor. The motive was that Clifford had been in the drug business, and he wanted Jason to inherit it, but Jason wanted nothing to do with it. Clifford killed Jason to stop him from exposing the family business.
Betty is the younger maternal half-sister of Charles. Their relationship is progressing. They spent a lot of time working together over the summer while investigating The Farm with their mother Alice working undercover.
In the Archie Comics, Charles "Chic" Cooper was introduced for the first time in the 1960s Little Archie series as Betty's older brother, whose absence from the vast majority of the stories is justified because he is a secret agent working for the US government.
The Black Hood was finally caught and revealed to be Betty's dad, Hal Cooper. Hal shot Fred over his adulterous affair with Hermione Lodge in Season 1.
The murder of Jughead Jones was a combined effort made by all of the Stonewall Prep students in his creative writing class. Donna's task was to distract Betty and set her up for Jughead's murder while Bret lured him into the woods.
Jason ultimately caved to his parent's wishes, ending things with Polly, though the break-up was short-lived as Polly came to learn she was pregnant. Upon being told he would soon be a father, Jason was happy and he and Polly resumed their relationship in secret.
and then came The Farm, an organ-stealing cult that used drugs to dupe members into seeing their departed love ones. For Cheryl, that meant them digging up Jason's body, mouth sewn shut in classic horror movie fashion, and making her believe that his surprisingly well-preserved corpse was her brother, back and alive.
After 67 Years, Archie Chooses Veronica In the first of a six-issue series, the longest-running love triangle in comics history appears to come to an end: Archie Andrews proposes — not to Betty, the blond girl next door, but to Veronica, the dark-haired beauty and Riverdale's rich girl.
In subsequent issues, the two plan a gorgeous wedding and welcome a beautiful set of twins. This all seems fine and dandy until Issue #603 . . . when Archie proposes to and marries Betty.
Betty only wants to know if he loves her. Archie explains that he does in fact love her, but he can't offer the answer that she wants. She is perfect, and he feels that he isn't good enough for her and that he never will be. As the tears continue to roll down her face, Betty turns away, walking back into her house.
