Kaigaku realizes that Zenitsu is much more versatile and skilled with his swordsmanship than before. However, he still believes that no matter how much Zenitsu trains, he can never defeat an Upper Rank like him. Zenitsu then is slashed by Kaigaku with the Thunder Breathing, Second Form: Rice Spirit.
Zenitsu doesn't die in Demon Slayer. In fact, he kills one of the Upper-Rank Demons and works with Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers in the fight against Muzan. Sometime in the future, Zenitsu marries Nezuko and starts a family with her until their line reaches the present day.

Kaigaku is ultimately beheaded by Zenitsu's Honoikazuchi no Kami technique. Kaigaku frustratingly comments that their master did favor Zenitsu more for teaching him a technique until Zenitsu admits that the technique was his own making in order to fight alongside Kaigaku as equals.
His fighting skills develop with each battle he fights, and later on, Zenitsu becomes a Hashira. He does not just fight Muzan, but he is actually able to severely injure him with his attacks. Zenitsu surpassed his limits in the fight and was able to use his Thunderclap and Flash: God Speed technique two times a day.
The demon slayers successfully defeated Muzan.
After Muzan was defeated, all the demons he created also perished immediately, so there was no point of a Demon Slayer corps anymore. As a result, Zenitsu did not get to become a Hashira even after becoming strong enough to bie one.
After his treachery, Kaigaku later becomes Zenitsu's archenemy. His cowardice would later lead him to his downfall when Zenitsu overcomes his insecurities as Kaigaku mocks Jigoro. Kaigaku's Thunder Breathing training would lead to his Blood Demon Arts being related to lightning.
Unfortunately, Gyutaro spots Inosuke and stabs him right through where his heart should be with a sickle imbued with deadly poison.
However, in the Demon Slayer manga Muzan reveals his motivation for attacking the Kamado family. It turns out that Muzan attacked the Kamado family and specifically turned Nezuko into a demon in an attempt to create a demon that would be able to withstand being in the sunlight.
Though he eventually avenges his family during the final battle, he loses his left arm and right eye in the process while being fatally wounded. Both are restored during Muzan's attempt to turn him into his successor by transforming him into a demon, though with the aid of his friends, he becomes human once again.
A spider demon drops from the sky and tells Zenitsu that there is no point in running away. The spider demon explains that the spider that bit Zenitsu earlier was one of his, and Zenitsu has been poisoned and will slowly start turning into a spider.
There are six forms, but Zenitsu could only learn the first form said to be the basis for the others yet he honed it to where he could fight against several strong demons. He later created a seventh form and defeated his former senior who had become the Upper Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki.
Nezuko Kamado
Zenitsu also protects Nezuko multiple times when she is in danger, evident during Zenitsu's first meeting with Inosuke Hashibira and the battle against Enmu in the train. Eventually Zenitsu and Nezuko would marry and start a family as evidenced by their descendants.
The Water Hashira, Giyu, survived the "Infinity Castle" arc after fighting beside Tanjiro against Akaza and Muzan.
While unconscious, Zenitsu is a force to be reckoned with, but his actual power is discovered when he is awake. While awake, Zenitsu was able to match the upper rank six, Kaigaku. He was also able to keep up with the Demon King, though he was in a weakened state during this battle.
Kotoha was then brutally murdered by Doma. As Doma tells the tragic story, Inosuke remembers the song his mother used to sing and memories begin to come back.
It is confirmed in the Volume 23 extras that Inosuke and Aoi did eventually end up together and that they have two great-grandsons, one of which is Aoba.
During Tanjiro and the rest of the Hashiras' showdown with the Demon King Muzan, Tanjiro is mortally wounded and dies. At the same time, Muzan receives a particularly fatal lil' booboo himself. As Muzan is about to shuffle off the mortal coil, he uses the last of his powers to turn Tanjiro into a demon.
Zenitsu Agatsuma is a part of the Demon Slayer Corps who the previous Thunder Hashira trained. Zenitsu is a skilled and able member of the organization but gets easily scared when facing demons. But as the series continues, we watch him grow as he eventually overcomes his fear of demons and fights them head-on.
Yet, for some reason, Tanjiro Kamado, the series' protagonist, never becomes a Hashira. Demon Slayer's protagonist Tanjiro Kamado starts out as an ordinary boy but has his entire life turned around after his family massacre. To make matters worse, his only surviving family, Nezuko, is turned into a demon.
According to Zenitsu, Jigoro never gave up on him to make him stronger and a better swordsman. He took care of Zenitsu like he was his grandson, he saved Zenitsu many times and he has shown unlimited patience at training the boy despite his cowardless and laziness.

Murata, the Demon Slayer, who was almost digested on Mount Nagumo, is also a Kanoe.
The adventure and life of a child of a demon and a human. Inosuke Hashibira, a half-demon among demon slayers.
Who is Jigoro Kuwajima? Jigoro was a former Hashira who practiced Thunder Breathing, which ended up giving him the title of "Roaring Hashira". Naturally, he was a very powerful demon slayer who successfully killed many demons.
