Hughie and Starlight form a close relationship shortly after the former's girlfriend's death. Initially, Hughie engages in the relationship to plant a bug on Starlight's phone, however the relationship develops into a romantic/sexual one.
Similarly to the show, Starlight is coerced into performing oral sex on Homelander, Black Noir, and A-Train. She continues to be mistreated but gradually learns to stand up for herself, particularly in her interactions with A-Train. This culminates in Starlight temporarily blinding him when he attempts to rape her.
She Settled Down With Hughie In Scotland
The Boys ended its run with a happy ending for Starlight and her romantic partner, Hughie Campbell. Even though every other major character doesn't survive, both lovers settle down in Hughie's childhood home in Scotland.
12 The Deep Sexually Assaulted Starlight On Her First Day
All the male members in the superhero team, The Seven, ganged up on Starlight and assaulted her. The shocking scene of sexual assault still took place on the show but the traumatizing events happened between The Deep (Chace Crawford) and Starlight.
Starlight, appalled, begins to leave, but is told by The Deep tells Starlight that he is The Seven's #2, second only to Homelander in importance to the group. He then threatens Starlight with expulsion from The Seven if she does not perform oral sex on him.
So in order to save not just the lives of the people she loves, but the entire world, she sucks it up and goes further down the rabbit hole, “revealing” a secret relationship with Homelander in the American Hero finale in order to rehabilitate his image, and taking it one step further by kissing him.
6 Starlight
Because of her long-range attack ability that could more than likely affect Translucent even when he's invisible, Starlight gets the nod over him and The Deep.
She is at first rejoiced at being selected, however is later sexually assaulted when the Deep extorts her into performing oral sex on him in "The Name of the Game" in order for her to stay on the team.
However, Starlight does not die in the comics when the story finally comes to a close. She is fully prepared to die trying to defeat Homelander, but Queen Maeve actually saves her from his wrath. This results in Homelander killing Queen Maeve, and Black Noir later is the one responsible for killing The Seven's leader.
In the comics, specifically The Boys #15, while looking to get away from everything she had been dealing with in the Seven, she went to visit her then-boyfriend Drummer Boy. However, she caught him cheating on her with fellow superhero Holy Mary.
"Mother's" Milk, primarily known as MM, is depicted as a regular human (though still a military veteran) with a dislike of Vought and its Supes resulting from a car crash caused by Soldier Boy in MM's youth, which killed his mother, uncle, and grandfather, and led to his father working himself to death as a lawyer ...
After two seasons of hooking up, breaking up, and repeating the cycle again and again, Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Annie (Erin Moriarty) are finally together when The Boys Season 3 begins.
Maeve credits Starlight with getting her to care for people again and to be a genuine hero, which she tells Starlight before leaving. Maeve's last act as a Supe was to save a tower full of people from Soldier Boy's nuclear blast, resulting in her depowerment and inability to recover from her eye injury from Homelander.
Although Hughie is angry at Butcher, he soon comes to accept his powers (which are permanent) of improved strength and durability.
Trixie and Starlight got married because they're loving marefriends and were ready to spend their lives together.
Maeve was eventually killed while protecting Starlight from Homelander and Black Noir, though Homelander easily overpowered her after she struck him on the head with her sword, shattering it in the process. He then flung her decapitated head at Starlight as she flew away from The Seven's headquarters.
Before Butcher or Dennis can do anything, Starlight uses her powers to knock the man back, but this accidentally kills him when he cracks his head on the hard road.
Starlight's main weakness is that her energy powers are dependent on there being an electrical source nearby that she can tap.
Stormfront, Homelander's ill-fated love interest and an outright Nazi, is over a hundred years old. Her whereabouts at the time of Soldier Boy's sperm donation are still unknown. Soldier Boy revealed in Season 3 of The Boys that he knew Liberty (Stormfront's former identity).
A-Train is a parody of the Flash from DC Comics.
Longevity: Black Noir has been active since the 80s. He is older than Gunpowder and is likely somewhere around his 50s or 60s, however he shows no signs that his age has affected his physical condition and he even appears to be even stronger then he was forty years prior.
“Homelander is basically the weakest character in the show. So he's constantly covering that up and covering up the fact that he's actually incredibly vulnerable, and ultimately weak, even though he's the physically strongest person on the show.” Starr admits.
Kimiko is the strongest hero of The Boys, with heightened levels of superhuman strength, durability, speed, and reflexes. She also possesses an accelerated healing factor that allows her to heal almost as fast as she's injured.
Gumchum doesn't do anything else in the series besides off his fellow Supes gum. It's his sole purpose. He might be the worst hero in terms of powers and abilities in The Boys, as he's effectively useless in battle.
