Along with Buffy, Willow, Giles, and Angel, he is one of only five characters to appear in both the Buffy series debut ("Welcome to the Hellmouth") and finale ("Chosen"). Ryan Reynolds was offered the role of Xander but passed on because he "didn't want to play a guy in high school.

Darla becomes pregnant, a unique occurrence for a vampire. She sacrifices herself in order to give birth to her and Angel's human son Connor, ending her run on the series. However, Darla continues to appear in flashback episodes during the next two seasons.
Season nine continues, after issue five's cliffhanger revelation that the Slayer was pregnant, with Buffy deciding what to do about the unwanted pregnancy – the result of a drunken night at a party. Eventually she decides to have an abortion.
However, various events (particularly Cordelia's possession by Jasmine) kept them from admitting their feelings to each other, although shortly before Cordelia died, they revealed their love for one another and shared a single kiss. She died loving Angel, knowing that Angel loved her back.
Xander and Buffy Were Originally Supposed to End Up Together. In the early days of Buffy, Xander always pined away for her. He never quite understood her, however, and Anya ended up being a far better match.
Xander and Faith have a quick tryst. Faith Lehane — Some weeks after his relationship with Cordelia dissolved, Xander found himself helping Faith fight a demon one night. After the battle, an adrenaline-fueled Faith took Xander back to her apartment and had sex with him; this was Xander's first sexual encounter.
Come Prom, Xander finally admitted his feelings to Buffy, wanting her to be his date. Buffy, however, did not share the same feelings and spurned him, leaving him bitterly disappointed. He then asked Willow on the rebound but, despite her crush on him, she rejected his offer as she knew his true intentions.
THE GIFT (SEASON 5, EPISODE 22)
Realizing she can take Dawn's place, she jumps into the portal to seal the door between dimensions — once again saving the world, and her sister. Buffy's end was tragic in and of itself, but it's her final speech to Dawn that made the moment that much more poignant.
Alyson Hannigan wasn't comfortable with her singing and she requested to not have many sung moments. As a result, Willow has no solos or duets. You Look Familiar: The vampires and demon in "Going Through The Motions", the puppet minions, and the dancing street sweepers are all played by the same three actors.
Angel arrives in time to stop him, but hesitates, and Cordelia gives birth to a full grown woman.
In total Cordelia would be impregnated three times during the course of the series by different demons.
Like every Slayer before her, she was chosen and informed of her destiny when she was 15 years old. Her mother is unaware of her daughter's powers and responsibilities until Buffy is forced to tell her at the end of the second season of the television series.
Dawn Marie Summers is first introduced as Buffy's (Sarah Michelle Gellar) younger sister at the end of Buffy season five premiere "Buffy vs. Dracula", though Buffy had been previously established as an only child.
The story of Buffy and Angel is that they're two destined but tragic lovers. They will never stop caring for each other, but affection does not necessarily mean that they work well together. Angel isn't just Buffy's first love, he's treated as her soulmate.
Season 3. In a seemingly impossible event, vampires Angel and Darla had a child, the end result being Connor, a human with superhuman abilities. Connor is introduced in the episode "Lullaby," when Darla sacrifices herself to give birth to him, by staking herself in the heart.
She eventually rejoins the Scooby Gang as Season Seven focuses on the long fight against the First Evil and eventually becomes friends with Xander; although Xander and Anya still love each other, they never officially resume their relationship.
However, when Xander performs a love spell to pay her back for hurting him, Cordelia realises how much he cares about her and takes him back, rejecting her superficial friends in the process. In season three's "Lovers Walk", Cordelia is heartbroken to see Xander kissing Willow and ends their relationship.
They had sex several times leading up to the final battle, though they never did officially get back together. In the finale, Xander showed that he still greatly cared for Anya, as he searched for her during the destruction of Sunnydale.
