Why Darth Plagueis Was Terrified of Anakin But Sidious Embraced and Trained Him - YouTube.
DARK SIDE FRIDAY - Did you know Palpatine feared Qui-Gon Jinn? Palpatine was immensely powerful and he could see the future which made him very confident about pretty much anyone who stood against him. So why Qui-Gon Jinn?
Dying is the only ongoing fear that Palpatine had. There is one time, that I know of, in Legends where it is said that Palpatine is afraid of someone, and that someone is… (drumroll)… Luke.
Towards the end of their relationship as Master and apprentice Palpatine began to resent Plagueis for having ultimate control over the Sith Imperative; a thousand year old plan that would see the Sith rule over the galaxy for 10,000 years. Palpatine hated him because he wanted all the power and glory for himself.
Sidious wins handily, as of Revenge of the sith and onwards he is factually the most powerful sith/dark side user (barring entities like the son and abeloth) up to his time, meaning he is superior to plagueis was.
1 Darth Sidious
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
1. Darth Sidious (Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace) Truly, the most powerful Sith Lord was Darth Sidious, better known in his public persona of Chancellor (later Emperor) Palpatine.
Jedi Master Yoda is the most powerful of them all. This should come as no surprise, as he was the head of the Jedi Order in the prequels and was revered for his abilities during the original trilogy. Yoda's power is unmatched and was a real threat to Darth Vader and the Imperials.
The tale told that Darth Plagueis, Sidious' Sith Master was so powerful and so wise that he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life—which Plagueis could in fact do, and even save others from death, which he proved by killing and bringing back to life his own master's secret apprentice, Darth ...
Years later, during the Crisis on Naboo in 32 BBY, Plagueis was surprised to discover the existence of Anakin Skywalker, a young Human boy born without a father.
Arguably, Qui-Gon is wiser in some ways, given that he knows how to preserve his consciousness in death. Yoda is wise, but sometimes flawed, given that some of his views align with the problematic thinking of the Jedi of this era.
Sate Pestage was Palpatine's long-time ally and confidant.
Palpatine absolutely did NOT fear Kenobi as a physical threat to himself. Could he have beaten Obi-Wan in a straight lightsaber duel? Possibly. Let's compare their forms.
That said, Vitiate, sometimes better known as the Sith Emperor, is often thought to have been stronger than Darth Sidious thanks to his mastery of the Dark Side of the force which granted him a ridiculously long life.
If Qui-Gon had survived his fight against Darth Maul, he would have sensed Palpatine's evil, and Anakin wouldn't have become Darth Vader. Thus, while Qui-Gon was less powerful than Yoda, Palpatine feared him more.
Darth Sidious was able to cheat his upcoming death by transferring his spirit into a clone body while falling into the reactor core of the second Death Star. He later sought to prolong his existence by futilely manipulating his grandchild Rey into killing him so he could live further by possessing her body.
Darth Plagueis discovered immortality through Midi-chlorian manipulation. Nevertheless, he was unable to prevent his own death in 32 BBY.
Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.
As powerful as Darth Sidious may have been, it's easy to forget he actually seemed afraid of Master Yoda. As seen in Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine initially thought he could deal with the aged Jedi Master - and then, when Yoda proved able to counter the Sith Lord's Force lightning, he fled.
Yoda. Yoda was a wise, experienced, and powerful Grand Master of the Jedi of an unknown species and the oldest known prophet in existence (having lived at least 900 years), considered the wisest and most powerful Jedi Master within the Star Wars universe.
In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. Galen was secretly trained as a Sith Lord apprentice to Vader, but returned to the light side and the Jedi.
But the record Sith-killer is actually Darth Bane himself. Darth Bane, founder of the Rule of Two, killed more Sith than any Jedi in the history of the Star Wars galaxy. Thousands of years ago, a schism among the Jedi Order led to the creation of a new faction - one devoted to the dark side of the Force.
Vader, the only power who overrules him is papa Palpatine.
