Among the infinity of Padawan taught under Yoda, Count Dooku was the curious creature's last student.
Though he saw Anakin's potential, Yoda could not ignore the danger inherent in Anakin's unrestrained emotional attachments. To teach Anakin responsibility, Yoda assigned Skywalker a Padawan learner: Ahsoka Tano. Yoda knew there would come a time when Anakin had to let go of Ahsoka.
After battling Palpatine, Yoda went into exile on Dagobah, and Luke became his final apprentice.
Yoda considered Dooku the Order's greatest student for many reasons and Yoda himself believed Dooku would become the greatest of the Jedi.
The Grand Master's apprentice
At one time, Dooku was the Padawan of Yoda, the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. In 86 BBY, Dooku later completed his Initiate Trials and hoped to be selected as the Padawan apprentice to Lene Kostana due to her mission in hunting down relics associated with the dark side.
Bottom line, Dooku never considered himself a Sith. And he wasn't; he was a man looking to change the galaxy in a way the Jedi were unwilling to try. And that is why he joined the Sith and became Darth Sidious' apprentice, Darth Tyrannus. When Dooku became Sidious's apprentice, he was already an elderly man.
Dooku belonged to the aristocracy, and his weapon reflected an older, more chivalric style than the Jedi he faced. It also reflected his status as the head of the Separatists: the lightsaber looked far more ceremonial than practical, suggesting that he himself did not face combat nearly as much as the Jedi did.
Billaba became Windu's Padawan and trained under the Jedi Master in the ways of the Force. During her training, Windu allowed her to study Form VII variant known as Vaapad. She eventually became a Jedi Knight, renowned for her skills with a lightsaber and favored Form III when teaching other Jedi.
Mission to Mathas. Padawan Windu was trained in the ways of the Force by Jedi Master Cyslin Myr. Following his early trials as a youngling, Windu attained the status of Padawan by becoming Jedi Master Cyslin Myr's apprentice.
His former colleagues in the Jedi Order saw Dooku as misguided but a man of principles, and refused to believe he could be an advocate of violence and war. They were wrong; Dooku had sworn allegiance to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, taking the name Darth Tyranus.
However, Yoda eventually lost his weapon when he dueled the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious in the Senate Building. When Sidious unleashed bolts of energy to disarm him, the Jedi Master lost his lightsaber, which fell to the ground below. With that, Yoda lost the lightsaber he had treasured.
Boba Fett was definitely dead. We all saw it: a partially blinded Han Solo unknowingly whacked him with a stick in Return of the Jedi, his jetpack malfunctioned, and then he fell into the mouth of a massive sand monster.
This brings us to the other explanation for Luke having Yoda's little saber in Boba Fett: Yoda built a second lightsaber after his duel with Palpatine and kept it hidden on Dagobah. Then, after Yoda gave up the Force ghost, Luke would have gone through his stuff and found it. Luke offering Grogu Yoda's lightsaber.
1 Yoda and Luke
Arguably the most inspiring, lovable, and endearing master and apprentice duo that Star Wars gave its fans, Yoda and Luke started off as two arguing strangers on a filthy, desolate planet, and ended up saving the galaxy from one of the greatest threats it has ever faced.
Yoda held the title of Grand Master of the Jedi Order since the days of the High Republic Era. At some point, Yoda took on a human named Kantam Sy as his Padawan.
Like all in the Order, the young Korun boy was taught by Grand Master Yoda when he was a learner, and eventually went on to become a Padawan to another Jedi. At one point during his apprenticeship, Windu trained under Master T'ra Saa.
Who was Qui-Gon Jinn's Master? Qui-Gon Jinn's Master was Count Dooku. The relationship between Dooku and his Padawan was largely built on respect, though Jinn often found it difficult to get a read on his Master.
Darth Plagueis was a legendary Dark Lord of the Sith trained by the Sith Master Darth Tenebrous.
A Sith Lord with the ability to prevent death and create life, Plagueis is the mentor of Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious, who, in accordance to the Sith's Rule of Two, eventually betrays Plagueis by murdering him in his sleep, taking his place as Sith Master.
Apart from his mother, Ben Solo became the first apprentice of his uncle Luke Skywalker, and proved to be the most gifted student of the Jedi Master. In 15 ABY, prior to his tenth birthday, Solo decided he would begin his Jedi training and joined Skywalker's initiative to restore the Jedi Order.
In the fictional Star Wars universe, Mace Windu is portrayed as a Jedi Master who sits on the High Council during the final years of the Galactic Republic. He is notable for wielding a unique purple-bladed lightsaber, and is regarded as one of the most powerful Jedi of his time, second only to Yoda.
In 19 BBY, the lightsaber was lost when it was dropped out of the window of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's office prior to his death. In 18 BBY, Duros salvagers recovered it and gave it to Senator Sano Sauro.
Sidious himself felt that he and his peers had outgrown the use of lightsabers, and only continued carrying them to mock the Jedi. He ultimately viewed his own lightsabers as little more than an affectation, and rarely wielded them in combat.
Palpatine Always Hated Lightsabers
He believed that the Jedi's lightsabers, created as the order's primary weapon, clouded their vision and blinded them to the fact that everything around them is a weapon through the Force, and that the Jedi put too much stock in lightsabers.
