A Viking Funeral is a Side Quest Favor in God of War Ragnarok that can only be unlocked after the completion of the main storyline. This side quest acts as the true ending to the game, as upon its completion, the screen will fade to black, and the final credits will roll.

Here, we see the full picture of Kratos's prophecy—that he will die at Ragnarök and Atreus would unite with Odin in Asgard.
In 3 he loses it again but gains more and more power through killing multiple titans and gods. In the end the power from 1 is still with him until he releases it to the world. In all instances he was still a demigod.
