Female voice recordings were used even during World War II in aeroplane cockpits due to the fact, they spoke at a higher pitch than male pilots, so they were easier to distinguish.
Voice gender
Early human factors research in aircraft and other domains indicated that female voices were more authoritative to male pilots and crew members and were more likely to get their attention.
Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) - a device used to record the audio environment in the flight deck for accidents and incident investigation purposes. The CVR records and stores the audio signals of the microphones and earphones of the pilots' headsets and of an area microphone installed in the cockpit.
An overload is an "over G" condition. Just as the ONSPEED aural AOA logic is designed to act like a flight instructor and tell the pilot how hard to pull on the pole to avoid the aerodynamic (stall) limit of the flight envelope, the OWS logic performs the same function for the G limit of the airplane.

In the past, there was always a flight engineer in the cockpit alongside the two pilots, but now only three people are on board to control the aircraft on long-haul flights, to allow for alternating rest phases. For particularly small aircraft with up to eleven passengers, only one pilot is even necessary.
The third officer would serve as a relief pilot and aircrew member, and could move between pilot, co-pilot, radio officer, and flight engineer positions to provide a rest period for the primary crews.
In the cockpit is a “seat position sight gauge”, which are three small, coloured balls that allow a pilot to adjust his viewpoint to a position that ATR deems appropriate, allowing for a “correct view of instrument panels as well as runway environment”.
While there certainly are fewer women training to be pilots, women also face gender-unique social pressures, double standards and systemic barriers that deter their entrance into aviation. Women have been interested in aviation since Wilbur and Orville gave up bicycles for airplanes at the turn of the 20th century.
While the number of women with licenses to fly commercial airliners increased by 45% between 2008 and the end of 2022, they are still only 4.92% of all pilots in the industry.
The top reason given was lack of money for flight training, followed by “instructor-student communication incompatibility”; instructors leaving flight instruction to take airline or charter service jobs, requiring the flight student to start over with another instructor; and a lack of female mentors.
Mode 3 helps pilots maintain a positive climb rate after takeoff; once the aircraft reaches 1,000 feet, the system sounds a “Don't sink” warning if altitude begins to descend. Mode 4 warns if landing gear or flaps are not properly configured for landing, and if the terrain clearance is inadequate during final descent.
Most jets climb at 250 knots up to 10,000 feet due to FAA regulations. Above 10,000 feet, 280 to 300 knots with a transition to Mach . 7 around 24,000 feet are average for the 737. Takeoff is the phase of flight in which an aerospace vehicle leaves the ground and becomes airborne. For aircraft traveling vertically, this is known as liftoff.
A go-around is not an emergency, and may be necessary for a number of reasons. Some of those include; unstable approach, unable to land in the touchdown zone, not in correct configuration, directed by ATC, obstacle on the runway (aircraft, vehicle, animal), or aircraft controllability issues.
