Tengen is one of the only known Demon Slayer and Hashira to retire due to being permanently disabled instead of death or age, the other being Jigoro Kuwajima.
Tengen Uzui abandoned his role as the Sound Hashira during the Entertainment District arc after fighting the upper-rank demons Daki and Gyutaro.
Shinobu Kocho is a capable Demon Slayer whose worthy of being the Insect Hashira. That being said, she's arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength.
Gyutaro manages to poison Tengen during the fight, preventing him from decapitating the Demon. After they finally manage to bring down the Demon siblings, Tengen ends up losing his left hand and eye in the process.
Killed And Was Killed By Doma
Before arriving at the Infinity Castle, the Insect Hashira consumed roughly 81 pounds of wisteria poison. Even though Doma killed her, he died just as quickly because of the sheer amount of poison he ingested after eating her.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
1 Kyojuro 'Flame Pillar' Rengoku
And finally, let's get to the number one saddest death in the franchise, and of course, that's the death of the brightly burning Flame-Breathing user that is Kyojuro Rengoku.
Demon Slayer's Tengen Uzui is considered to be one of the weakest Hashira due to almost losing this fight, but the fact is that Tengen only looks weak when compared to the most overpowered Hashira.
Like most of the characters, Tengen Uzui does have a descendant that looks just like him. His descendant is named Tenma Uzui and he's an Olympic-level gymnast representing Japan.
Even though the Demon Slayer Corps may be in hot water if Muzan decides to retaliate for Gyutaro's death, Tengen Uzui has unquestionably earned his retirement, as his battle with Gyutaro cost him a hand and an eye.
1. Gyomei Himejima. Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons.
Obanai Iguro is one of the harsher Hashira members. He demanded that Giyuu be punished for allowing Nezuko to get away unharmed, and later restrained Tanjiro as he tried to help his sister. He hates demons and has little regard for his fellow Hashira, except Mitsuri Kanroji later on.

5 Hashiras who die in Demon Slayer, and how it happens.
Suma ( 須 す 磨 ま , Suma?) is a supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is a kunoichi and one of Tengen Uzui's wives.
i know, though, some believe he loves hina (21) the most, because he had the most interaction with her in the manga and they have the most “husband-and-wife” feel. we also have to remember that suma (19) was tengen's first chosen wife—they both personally agreed to letting hina and makio (20) into their relationship.
Makio is actually a distant cousin of Tengen's. Makio's name contains solely the hiragana for "ma" (ま, "ma"?), "ki" (き, "ki"?) and "wo" (を, "wo"?) respectively.
He trained his mind and body with the hope that one day he could eradicate all demons. Gyomei is extremely emotional and caring and is always concerned for those around him. This could be the main reason why he is always crying in the Demon Slayer series.
With her jovial and concerned attributes, as well as her “Moshi Mosh,” It is no wonder that Shinobu is the most liked Hashira in Demon Slayer.
Rengoku's fight in the Mugen Train arc showed his incredible speed and reflexes. He was able to match Akaza's speed, and his movements were so fast that it was almost impossible for the naked eye to keep up. Tengen, meanwhile, is the fastest runner out of all the Hashira.
