LONDON — Furniture chain Ikea has removed chocolate cake from store restaurants in 23 countries after authorities in China identified high levels of bacteria commonly found in human and animal feces in one batch of the treat.
Ikea does not sell Swedish Princess Cake, however, it does offer a variety of delicious desserts and pastries for customers to enjoy.
What is Swedish Princess Cake? You've probably seen the pink, mini version of this cake at IKEA. It has three layers of sponge cake with raspberry and custard cream fillings and is topped with diplomat cream. Then a layer of marzipan fondant is placed on top of the entire cake.
