Leia was quite busy as a senator in the New Republic, and Han was her support system as they began to raise their one and only child, Ben. Things got complicated when Ben was sent to Luke for Jedi training. And, ultimately, Ben's turn to the Dark Side put a strain on Han and Leia's relationship.
Speaking at the Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo, Carrie revealed what put Leia off Han, and it boiled down to three main reasons. One, that he smuggled too much; two, that he spent too much time with Chewie; and three, that he, ahem, didn't do enough of something else. "He smuggled way too much," Carrie said.
Leia Organa
During the Battle of Yavin, however, when Vader almost succeeds in killing Luke - Han saved him - after this Leia's opinion of Han changed - and they slowly fell in love with each other. Han and Leia developed a relationship that would last throughout the war.
Leia is annoyed with Han, who insists she has feelings for him, so she kisses Luke to prove she doesn't. Presumably, the scene was simply meant to make Han jealous.
While Return of the Jedi would ultimately reveal them to be siblings, A New Hope implied Luke's attraction to Leia throughout, while the two kissed multiple times in The Empire Strikes Back, with further romantic moments ending up on the cutting room floor, as seen in the movie's deleted scenes.
4 He Finally Said "I Love You" During A Battle Against Imperials On The Moon Of Endor. Han and Leia's romance was forged across a number of battles in the original trilogy, so it only makes sense that he would finally say "I love you" during the final pitched battle against Imperials in Return of the Jedi.
Fun facts also worth mentioning: Han Solo happens to be 10 years older than twins Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
Canon comics
Han is a main character in the 2015 Star Wars comic series. Issue #6 introduces Sana Starros as Han Solo's wife, although a few issues later she is revealed to have only married him as part of a plan to scam a crime lord's gambling den.
Instead, the only canon-confirmed offspring of the Han/Leia union is Ben Solo (aka Kylo Ren), a new character invented for the movies who is now “officially” part of the universe.
Solo: A Star Wars Story - an anthology film presenting Han Solo's backstory, starring Alden Ehrenreich as the young scoundrel - revealed he grew up as a street urchin on Corellia, and fell in love with a girl named Qi'ra.
For all we know, Leia specifically channeled her own life force into Ben, helping Rey along and sacrificing herself in the process. That may be why Leia finally dies and fades away at the moment Ben revives Rey and fades away himself. When Ben dies, any tether Leia still had to the living world went with him.
So, even when she eventually learns his real name, Leia always associated the Jedi Master with Ben rather than Obi-Wan. Inspired by this, it makes sense that she decided to name her son Ben Solo — after Ben Kenobi.
While Leia is denying Han's assertion that she has romantic feelings for Han, Leia kisses Luke passionately to demonstrate that Han "doesn't know everything about women" and to suggest that she has feelings for Luke instead.
Han, worried that Leia is injured, is relieved when she's okay -- and finally utters the words, "I love you," when she reveals she has a blaster. The princess replies, "I know," before shooting two Stormtroopers. Only in Star Wars. There's great tension to the scenes between Han and Leia on Hoth.
What is the connection between Kylo Ren and Rey? As Kylo Ren himself says in The Rise of Skywalker, he and Rey are bonded not just by their familial legacies (Ren as the grandson of Darth Vader and Rey as the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine) but by their unique connection in the Force.
The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ben Solo was seduced by the dark side of the Force and renamed himself Kylo Ren: leader of the Knights of Ren, champion of the First Order, and apprentice to Supreme Leader Snoke.
Some had theorized that she was the lost child of Luke Skywalker or even Han Solo, adding her to the lineage of powerful force users in the family. Instead, The Last Jedi revealed that Rey's powers didn't come from some genetic lineage but simply from herself.
Rey is Han Solo's daughter. But she is not Leia Organa's daughter--and therefore is not a Skywalker. Leia and Han were estranged when she began training with Luke.
Leia at 10 years old is fearless, stubborn and wise beyond her years. It's easy to see how this child will grow into the leader “Star Wars” fans have long known. And as Obi-Wan spends time with young Leia, he can't help but note how much she reminds him of her parents.
Leia's journey yields a time dilation of 62.6 days; however Luke experiences a time dilation of 700.8 days (1.92 years). The students concluded that Luke is therefore 1.75 years younger than Leia, possibly rendering them the first twins ever to have over a year between their ages.
Padmé was born in the year 46 BBY on Naboo, and Anakin was born five years later, in the year 41 BBY. That makes Padmé five years older than Anakin.
During the iconic opening moments of Star Wars: A New Hope, Darth Vader has a tense confrontation with Princess Leia, an adversary who, unknown to him, is actually his daughter. Despite participating in Leia's interrogation, the Sith Lord doesn't uncover his familial connection with the rebellious royal.
Han is sorry for putting Lando in the spot where he has no choice but to betray them. Han and Chewie could have been more diligent in their maintenance. Han could have picked another system. Han could have picked up on Lando's earlier hints (the chilly reception and Lando's opening insults).
In The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Leia commands a Rebel base and evades Vader as she falls in love with the smuggler Han Solo.
